That makes as much sense as declining to aid England during WW2, because it might have pissed off the Germans.
Why are they nut jobs is a question you should be asking.

Japan attacked us at Pearl Harbor and we went into ww2 full force.

In a technical sense, there's no doubt, but that doesn't excuse their actions, nor does it mean that there is anything wrong with our foreign policy toward the ME, aside from our foreign policy not being tough enough toward Muslim extremists.

Honestly apdst, I don't know what the answer is. You kill one asshole and another appears. What changes? No one answered my question. Can we leave our shoes on in the airports now? Of course not. Now we can all sit here and congratulate ourselves on the fact that this one particular asshole is dead but it doesn't change a thing adpst. This is what we have to look forward to for the rest of our lives and when/if we have children that's what they have to look forward to as well.

Does anyone believe that peace is still a goal?
    Why do we fall?
So we can learn to pick ourselves up.

The answer is to rain down more death and destruction on the enemy. When was the last time that Germany, or Japan tried to pull some **** on another country?

Well there is no doubt our foreign policy played a huge role in why they attacked us on 9/11. But we all agree, two wrongs don't make a right.
What did we do after we both took shots at each other? We invaded two countries and bomb three others that had nothing to do with 9//11. We didn't even touch Saudi Arabia where majority of the terrorist came from whom attacked us. We've also killed thousands of innocent civilians in the process while disrespecting other nations sovereignty. We aren't making any friends and soon will have to leave just because our economy won't be able to handle it. Aka Soviet Union repeat.

The simple answer is trade. After the war, we traded with Japan and develop relations (not sure about Germany right after). We accomplished more in peace & trade then we've ever did in war. Same with the Vietnamese after the Vietnam war.

Our foreign policy was shaped as it was, because of their crap, to begin with.

Actually, one of those countries had alot to do with 9/11 and those civilians wouldn't have died, if they hadn't sat on their asses while a bloodthirsty bunch twisted cocksuckers were killing innocents elsewhere.

The actual answer, is we gave them such an ass whippin' that going to war was the last thing on their minds.

Im sorry, did Saddam attack us on 9/11? And last I check 16 of the 19 hjackers that came from Saudi Arabia whom we didn't attack. I wonder why....

Also we sure gave those Vietnamese a whoopin!

And if I remember correctly the japanese wanted to suicide themselves before letting America come in and take over there country (sounds familiar). There is still a lot of resentment over the two nukes we dropped but over or trade and relations since then, it doesn't serve anyone to cause a war.

I didn't say he did, nor was I talking about Iraq. However, Saddam did support terrorism, which made him a target of oppurtunity.

    One thing at a time.

We sure did, but we had a Democrat Congress that didn't fail to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

And, they lost the war. See a pattern?

All they going to do is be mad about it, too.
