The brother of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says the popular GOP politician is going to stick to his word and not run for president.

We may have to hand out hankies to some of the teaparty cheerleaders :lamo:lamo

It's looks like they're stuck with Romney... or Perry.

Good grief, I have lost a lot of respect for Christie because of this. Deciding to run or not should have taken him weeks, not hours.

It ain't the hokie pokie.

Again with the bashing a fat person.

If you didn't want Christie as president, was this the only reason why?

We don't quite know what is in his head.

Was it even relevant?

What do you think? I ran across this photo today:

Well, yeah, it is easier to get a charismatic and attractive candidate elected.

But surely that's not how we select which ones to support?

How did Hillary do against Obama?

No it wasnt but Im compelled...I cant stand him for kinda personal reasons...on second thought the other reasons are relevant

I don't recall. Not well enough, obviously.

BTW, I despise Hillary and would never vote for her. But it has zippey-doo-dah to do with the physical appearace of either candidate.

What does Christie's weight have to do with his ability? Anyone?? I sense liberal hypocrisy meters running on full alert here.. Oh well..

A Christie, Rubio ticket would be the best thing for this country right now, and oh by the way, it doesn't matter what order either. Rubio is the most well spoken politician I've seen a very long time.

Liberals only pay lip service to women's liberation, racism, judging people according to their appearance, etc. But if it's a female opponent, Black opponent, or anything negative they can attach to their appearance, they'll go for it. That's just who they are.

What other reason could there possibly be for voting for Barrack Obama?

Not sure what you want to get at here. Don't get me wrong, I thought Christie delivered the best "non-candidate" speech possible last night, and had me elevated. We just have to face up to the fact that his appearance will cause quite the stir in the opposition, just like it has already throughout the country. I can't even try to recall how many jokes and insults were referencing his weight (over just the happenings of last night!). Goodness...one was something about Krispe Kreme, another was about how he can only run to (insert food location here), and so on.

The animated Joe-Schmoe Democrat will use such references all the time, like Joe Schmoe Republican would use "bean pole" or "big ears" Obama, Joe Schmoe Democrat going for some sort of derogatory term for women in reference to conservative women...and so on and so forth. Be prepared for a lot of it, perhaps a lot more of it because now it is about weight-something many Americans haven't bitched about in a while regarding Presidential criteria.

Chris Christie has the charisma of a Mack truck, his tough love with the union teachers may excite the conservatives, but those videos in the general election would come back and haunt him. In my opinion, he's too much of a bully to be elected President of the United States.

he has said he's not ready to be president on video already. those sound bites make a 2012 run unlikely.
