Michael Moore Threatens The Rich: Let's "Deal With It Nonviolently Now"

Lol...everyone I know has guns everywhere in thier house and many alot more heavy hitting than an m-16...tell ya a secret most americans have guns...

Owning a gun doesn't make you a gunfighter anymore than owning a car means you automatically know how to drive.

Another thing....If all you want to do is shoot to wound, don't carry a firearm. Pick yourself up a taser and use that instead.

I have spent almost 40 years on the competitive shooting circuits. IPSC, USPSA, ISU, NSSA, NAA, IMHSA etc and I can count on one hand the number of far lefties I have ever met.

and I also have spent 25 years teaching people firearm survival skills and I have trained with some of the best, liberals are even scarcer in those circles

Moore should be praised for his non-violent approach

And much better to deal with it nonviolently now, through the political system, than what could possibly happen in the future, which nobody wants to see," Michael Moore said

excellent advice from a patriot.

Turtle - before you train people in these skills is it normal to test, quiz or interrogate them on their political leans and beliefs?

Political leans and beliefs???? WTF

When you shoot, you shoot to hit. That's all that counts in a gunfight, not the number of rounds shot or the noise made, but the hits on target. Better hits help more but any hit is better than none. A slow hit is better than a fast miss, but a fast hit is even better yet.

The idea is to do as many of these as possible as quickly as possible by any means possible to stop a deadly threat as soon as possible. That's what shooting is all about. The longer the threat continues, the more turns to try to kill you the threat has. That is why you must take your turn first and make it the last turn taken.

You shoot to stop the threat and you shoot until the threat stops, which you felt was an iminent threat of death or serious bodily injury to yourself or another person. Anytime you drop the hammer on someone, it is the application of deadly force. Shooting to wound doesn't exist in this time or country.

uhh...huh ? owning a gun gives you the ability to shoot someone...owning a bat doesnt make you a professional ball player either and you can miss with a taser as easily or easier than a gun

Michael Moore's latest publicity stunt. That's all this is. He's in the documentary game to make money. Period. He doesn't walk the walk, but he talks the talk - and he knows that 90% of the population looks no further than the talk. Pretty decent actor actually.

Threats? That is what progressives have devolved to? What a jack ass Moore is. He clearly does not understand business, nor the meaning of hypocrisy. Where did he make his millions? How much does he give back to the government?

j-mac

Did your even watch the video you posted? Where did Michael Moore make a threat? He quoted Michael Bloomberg about the potential for riots in the streets and then advocated working inside of the political process to prevent violence. His references to violence spoke of this historic consequence of what happens when a society does not meet then needs of its people.

His primary point, which is not obvious within the clip, is that a society that does not meet the basic needs of its people (the masses) is doomed to collapse. Over the past 30 years, the US economy has grown, but 80% of that benefit went to 1% of the population. The fruits of the US economy are not equitably (I don't mean equally) shared. Our economy is behaving far more like Mexico and other 3rd world economies than a 1st world democracy. This trend acts to undermine the stability of our society (and thus our economy). Unless these trends are corrected, the US will collapse.

Instead of a healthy discussion on the merits of the initial proposition, this thread quickly degenerated into the size of individual arsenals and who can shoot straight. Who cares? Does anyone really want to live through a US revolution? You might save your physical body, but you are not going to save you lives. They will change forever ...and, if its really the apocalypse, your guns and money are going to be irrelevant.

Patriotism is NOT measured by the amount of right wing kool aid one has consumed and the level to which they have prostrated themselves before the altar of the far right.

So you do not test, question, quiz nor interrogate these students about their political beliefs but you somehow - by being what you call "attentive" can discern their political beliefs? That is pretty amazing. Just how do you do this?

I love some kid going to law school: he keeps saying he wants violent revolution

having shot someone I know what the score is. I doubt he has a clue

Having said the exact opposite of "I want a violent revolution" in the post you quoted, your position seems to just be empty bravado. I said that one is certain to happen if peaceful solutions aren't reached, and that it would be justified. But I would rather see those peaceful solutions, like the people of this country voting the corruption out of power, than shed blood.

And no, I have never shot anyone. That's the difference here. You're itching to kill someone. I don't want to shoot anyone. I will if I have to, but I don't need to hurt others to feel better about myself, as so many others seem to. I certainly can if I need to, but I don't look forward to it.

Upsideguy,

I looked at your chart, figure 1, and it's interesting how the wealth shifted from around 1980. I look back and wonder what happened and IMO it was the evolution of the tech age, take Microsoft for an example, it has created more wealth (millionaires) for more individuals than any company in the world. Now add on Apple, Oracle, E-Bay, Amazon, Dell, Sun Micro, and the like. Then add the Internet, GPS, Cell phones, and the like. And you end up with trillions in the hands of tech engineers and entrepreneurs leading the way changing how the world works. The tech industry has had an explosion in the last 40 yrs and it has changed our lives. Take this forum as an example. This wealth is not blue collar wealth, the Tech industry is not a steel mill or an auto assembly line. It is high tech stuff that is driven by some very smart engineers and forward thinking people. Just saying.

trying to push the socialist class warfare agenda is not patriotism but rather a cancer ruining this nation

and opposing welfare redistribution and unionista malignancy is not far right but common sense

I talk to people who train with us or compete with us. when people have Impeach Obama or NRA stickers on their car I don't need a PhD to figure out they probably think Democrats generally suck

Not at all kid. but it may be a necessary evil.

This statement has nothing to do with the statement from me that preceded it. Class warfare has been going on for quite a while now. The rich admit it. Even Warren Buffett, one of the richest men in the land, admits it and also proclaims that his class is winning.

So you examine their cars? And you conclude from this exercise that if they have a NRA sticker then they hate Democrats? That is amazing. I work for a state representative who is a Democrat and an NRA member and has a sticker on his car which says so. You would falsely interpret that to mean he hates Democrats and President Obama.

Buffett is a dem toady. he will say whatever helps the dems win elections. and the uber rich are far more likely to support socialism than most of the mere rich.

Buffett is one of the richest men in the nation. That places him in economic and social circles which nobody here could ever touch, let alone understand. When he says his kind have been waging a successful class warfare on the rest of society, he has credibility.

so Haymarket it is your learned position that you know more about American gun culture and the beliefs of those who are immersed in it than someone who has been a

1) collegiate All American

2) a national Junior champion

3) a two time America Cup winner

4) a NRA life member for 37 years

5) a NSSA all America 3X

6) a professional level skeet and archery judge

7) the general counsel for the largest 100% NRA gun club in the USA

8) a CCW instructor

9) someone who has 400+ hours of formal firearms self defense training

10) counsel for three retail firearms operations as well as a Title II manufacturer (machine guns)

11) a state lobbyist for a state Firearms organization

12) counsel for a major league county law enforcement organization

13) sponsored USPSA pistol shooter

His kind is the top 400 or so. Yet your master wants to use that to oppress far more than "Buffett's kind"

We ARE seeing our democratic republic being choked into submission and on its way to a probably socialist dictatorship. Look at Obama's main themes.

1) Increase taxes on a portion of the population whose numbers are too small to influence election results.

2) Promise that seized wealth to a majority of the population, essentially bribing them to vote. It isn't a matter of the government needing money to perform essential functions, it is a give away to the lower income strata. He has stated outright that the lowest incomes will actuall get money they never paid!

3) The majority of those populations that will be swayed by the bribe are urban dwellers. Concentrated in those urban centers that would already be ruling the country were it not for the electoral college.
Socialist?..we are already there.
