High court refuses to block Troy Davis execution
He had all the chances in the world," his mother, Anneliese MacPhail, said of Davis in a telephone interview. "It has got to come to an end."
I didnt quite understand that statement by his mother, if you read the article thats all thats there is that comment from her..
The U.S. Supreme Court gave Davis an unusual opportunity to prove his innocence in a lower court last year, though the high court itself did not hear the merits of the case.
Seems there maybe be more to this case then what weve all been reading...
Re: High court refuses to block Troy Davis execution
Here is the decision from the Fed District Court judge who presided over the hearing in the summer of 2010. It breaks down the recantations of the 7 witnesss and explains why they were rejected which was mostly due to the fact that they were determined to be not credible during cross examination. The summary breaking down the evidence was pretty good too. Based on this, I'd say the guy was guilty. The decision is really long with a bunch of case precedence. The "meat" of it starts on page 128.
