Re: U.S. jobs crisis may get bloody; Bloomberg, experts warn of riots

Well I thank goodness that the whole " Day of Rage" turned out to be a day of yawns. The massive crowd on Wallstreet, blossomed into hundreds.

I believe the organizers want there to be tens of thousands so they could incite a riot and get lost in the crowd.

This could have been a serious protest had they not called it a Day of Rage or had "Al doggy doo doo, Sharpton," as a feautured speaker.

In L.A. the "Day of Rage" the protester's turn out was a real joke because their numbers were all the way up in to the dozens.

I think this lousy turn out shows that normal people maybe catching on to the divide and conquer bit.

They want action not more partisan BS which we keeps anything meaningful, and there is blame enough to cover everyone from Obama, through both Houses of Congress, right back to the regular people who are putting up with all the nonsense.

It's amazing that we don't see more people who are blinded in at least one eye or both with all the finger pointing.

Was not everyone taught as a child it's not polite to point, and don't talk when you have a mouthful?

I added the mouthful part because at least half of politicians are full of something, and it's not a bean burrito.

Jeffrey Immelt was appointed by Barrack Obama, the champion of the working class and head of the party representing working people, to be a Jobs Czar and create jobs in the United States. How's that working out?

Barrack Obama has a Yale education and is so smart he's never had to get his hands dirty at a real job in his life. He feels from his experience that he only need bribe businesses with government money and that the jobs will follow and many people, some of them with Yale educations themselves, believe that.

The American worker voted for this turkey and should only be pissed off with themselves. Next time elect someone from the real world.

You're right in that John McCain was a weak Republican candidate but that is still a poor excuse for casting a ballot for Barrack Obama. There is simply no legitimate excuse for having voted for him. Were a do-over available McCain would be the winner.

My best guess is that the riots will hold off for a few more years yet, until things have gotten considerably worse. When they come, though, they'll be really nasty.
For: legalizing drugs, gay marriage, abortion, guns, universal health care, public sector jobs, nuclear power, free education, progressive taxation
Against: corporations, make-work, the 40 hour work week, intellectual property, imperialism, "homeland security," censorship

    Yes, Harvard, not Yale.

The difference is a big deal to you, huh?

Why not involve yourself in the real debate?

If you are for the government providing things for "free" then things will inevitably turn 'nasty', just as they will in Western Europe. If you expect personal responsibility from people, as was the case for the first 200 years of American history, then there will be no nastiness.

It's up to the American people whether they choose to be adults or not.

Personal responsibility isn't gonna get you jobs when there aren't any jobs to get.

It's clear from what you are "for" and that, if everyone follows suit, the country will not recover. Taxes will be too high and businesses will continue to leave, just as they're doing now. You'll have a 'brain drain', just as happened in Western Europe and in Canada. At one time these people would go to the United States where taxes were lower and there were greater opportunities. Now the reverse is happening. The United States had better get used to high unemployment, greater debts and higher taxes if they are going to insist on emulating the failures of other countries, rather than learning any lessons from them.

Now the Europeans, and especially Canada, have changed their policies while the United States goes down the same discredited road that others tried a generation ago. How you are going to have all these 'free' services while still expecting the same life style Americans became accustomed to over several generations remains a mystery.
