Too bad. That was one of the cars when I was little that I really wanted. Now I'll never be able to get new. :'(

Can you put your arm on the window sill and put it straight up?

The windows look really small onthe HHR, which is what stopped me from buying it.

The Cobalt SS would be the closest competitor to the Mini in the GM lineup (past of course). Other options would have been the VW GTI, Mazda Mazdaspeed 3, Subaru Impreza WRX and a few others. Next year Ford is coming out with the Focus STi which should be good
Did you see the price of the new Golf GTI? I think it is around 40K.

40K for a Golf. Our local dealer has had one since March in red. Nobody will touch it and it is usually the first car sold off the lot.

They just priced themselves out of the market.

Go into a GM dealership and try to get a discount based onthe fact that you are a shareholder.

I bet they laugh you off the lot and in case you didn't know, they do offer discounts like that to employees and shareholders and I am sure other catagories.

That is of course a Belvedere because there never was a red Fury, and it is a '57.

Have you ever driven a Barracuda or Challenger?

Very uncomfortable and hard to see over the steering wheel.

    1978 Lincoln town car.

i was 10 years old when i drove this car on a country lane in 1984.

my dad was, of course, in position to take control of the vehicle should my maiden voyage prove unsuccessful. lol
That car has a horrible design for the "power" brakes.

Instead of vaccuum, it used the power steering fluid. If the engine turned off, you had no assist at all.

we called ours the Queen Mary. i remember sleeping on the back seat without bending my legs; it was huge.

the car had a 460 7.5 L engine in case you needed to tow a small house or something. EPA rated 10 to 12 MPG. actual mileage closer to 4 GPM.

    great car.
