Why wait, indeed? Why wait until 2013 to make cuts to the budget? Why wait to assassinate the devil du jour? Could it be to get reelected before doing something unpopular?

Is that what you want to do?

Do you feel killing Hitler have "destabilized the entire international order"?

Absolutely he's waiting until after the election. The Keystone Pipeline is another case in point.

Your position regarding Cuba and the embargo? What should the Cuban people expect from you and your government during the remainder of your term, and in the future if you're reelected?

You don’t need to look further; here you have the answer from the “Horse” mouth:

“It is necessary to impose financial, economic and material restrictions to dictatorships, so that they will not take roots for long years….Diplomatic and morals measures do not work against dictatorships, because these make fun of the Governments and the population”. Fidel Castro (Excerpt from the book “Fidel Castro and Human Rights”, Editora Política, Havana, Cuba, 1988).

So they will not take root for long years? Castro has been the dictator of Cuba since 1959. Before that, there was a succession of other dictators and occupations going back to independence. Batista was dictator for many years. Cuba has never been free.

    Now wait a minute.

Would you want a 1957 Chevy with a foreign engine in it held together with masking tape?

They have had no access to parts for teh last 50 years so they have to put what they can on the cars to keep them running.

I would be surprised if there were any old cars that were not re-engineered in some way.

There are all kinds of classic auto parts suppliers. Mostly located in Mexico, China, Vietnam, etc. and those are all available to Cubans and ingenuity is not a peculiarly USA citizen virtue. I'm betting they're as roadworthy as any USA vehicle. Possibly more so, because the labor rate is low enough to change the dynamic on what would in this country be a fatal/expensive (to the boneyard) problem. If labor is cheap enough, you fix it.
