Personally I think making this incident about gun control is just as bad as making it partisan. **** like this happens because of murderous nutjobs, and there's probably no way to stop an occasional event like this... but thankfully they're pretty rare among a 300 million-plus population. What are your odds of being present (let alone shot) when something like this happens, ever in your life? Probably millions to one against. What are your odds of dying in a car crash? Around 100 to 1.

I recall a case in Atlanta where a businessman killed his wife and three co-workers with a hammer. A hammer, and he killed nearly as many as this guy with an AK.

Murderous nutcases slip through the cracks sometimes. Blaming that on the Left, the Right, or guns, or Obama, or Bush, or hammers, is not a solution.
If you remind people of a case like this, they will try to outlaw hammers, then I will have to hang my pictures using a wrench to hit the nail. Please don't do that.

You are of the opinion that only consertatives support the troops?

Well, he has a point doesn't he? On the other hand, the man did look hispanic.

I didn't make it about it. I agree that this isn't the time for that. But I simply made a comment that I don't understand a position.

Like hell I did. I see some things don't change. Still making **** up I see. I'd suggest you provide a single quote where I said that. Providing a link to a huge thread is typical of you. and you knowit. Come up with the quote or stfu.

If the gun was full auto, wouldn't he have killed more than he did? Unless he was specifically targetting the one's he killed?

What makes me sick more than anything was the guy that was in the parking lot that was armed and didn't shoot the ****er in his back when he had the chance.

Well, he did walk past all those other people to shoot Giffords FIRST, so I think he considered everyone else a bonus. He also had a personal beef with her. The whole "...if words don't mean anything" question he directed to her personally face to face.

Granted, there is some question whether his attack on her was ideologically motivated or just the result of some psychosis.
