House GOP share some ground with Obama on jobs

you've never seen this sort of hatred, from Americans, for a sitting President?... really?

I have... from 2000-2008, to be exact.
also 1972 to 1974
and in 1979-80

Were you sleeping betweein 1992 and 2000, when Republicans actually impeached a Democratic president for getting a hummer? Oh yeah, and accused him of murdering Vince Foster?

I'm often inclined to think that the irrational hatred of Obama on the right must be based on race, as it clearly can't be explained by policy, but then I remember the irrational hatred of Clinton.

compromise=selling out your principles. The GOP needs to stand its ground against Obummer.

Compromise = being a grown up and realizing that there are tens of millions of Americans who don't share your views.

Yeah, Obama is the job killer.

For the rest of the story. this shows jobs during Obama's term. Not as good as where your graph ended.
One reason why I dislike showing data. It depends on the window of time you are looking at.

No, not as good, but clearly an improvement relative to where he started.

It will interesting to see what the data is a year from now. and yes, it is a bit better.

i'm not the one who said he had never seen such hate.... that would be you.

how do you explain your irrational hatred?... it is because the GOP is primarily white?.. or is your hate based more upon policy?

My gut feeling tells me the GOP will not be lifting a finger to advance anything Obama proposes even if it is the best idea in the world. They have sucessfully filibustered and basicly shut the country down from doing just about anything, at every turn. and I see no reason they would actually do their job. Not this close to the election cycle.

It is important for the GOP to keep the nation in a nosedive. They believe that is their ticket to get their party back in power. I believe they are counting on the people to, once again, forget how the GOP got us in this quagmire to begin with as well as forgetting that since the voters gave the GOP a bump, last election, things have only gotten worse.

They may be right.

Yeah, they will probably take a cue from what the Dems did between 2006 and 2008.

Right ??

Obama may be a total ****-up. How would we know? Obama hasn't had much a chance to do anything to fault him for thanks to the obstructive GOP. Your guys have basicly shut the government down, filibustered and snubbed the majority will of the people, blocking anything, at every turn. I have never seen such hatred, from Americans, for a sitting president. I would expect it out of some 3rd world anti-westerner. But born Americans?

Exactly how did the Republican's block every move between 2008 and 2010 ?? I could have sworn that I read somewhere that the Dems controlled all three branches of the government during that time period.

Maybe if they had spent a little more time on creating jobs and improving the economy rather than their healthcare bill that few people wanted, the country would be in better shape now.

I never hated Bush and my objection to his policies was perfectly rational.

That is a great quote. Think I will use it sometime, except to change the name of the President to Obama.

You're welcome to it, but it only works if you can make a rational argument to support your opposition to his policies.

I didn't like some of his spending policies. But as far as being a leader, he was far superior to Obama. Liberals just don't want to accept the fact that Harvard degrees don't make a leader. George Washington didn't even go to college, but was a superior leader compared to almost every other president.

I think that sound policies make for a good leader. Leading confidently in the wrong direction is not something we should encourage.

I'm sorry, Obama is not a leader, and that's worse than his policies. I don't agree with his politics, but Clinton was even a better leader (even with his please all politics).

I agree and hope we elect a president with sound policies next time rather than the one we have now.

Did you really need me to interpret the graph for you? I think it speaks for itself.

Trust me, he requires a step by step interpretation. You will probably have to do it a few times, and there is no guarantee he will get it.

A wise man once said..... "Always treat your ENEMIES as your ENEMIES. Do not ever allow yourself to be fooled into treating them like your friends."

We'd already have compromise if the GOP didn't insist on social policy riders in every bill.

We wouldn't need to social policy riders on every bill if morals and values weren't in such low supply in the country to begin with.

Comprehensive moral doctrine aren't compatible with democracy and the only way to enforce them, what ever they may be, is through tyranny. So stop trying to shove your religion down my throat unless you want to be a tyrant.

I'm not talking about Religion, I'm talking about Morality; and if it requires Tyrany to do it, I'm more than fine with that.
