I'm talking about the politics of Iraq, not the US. The longer the military stays the more tenuous the political situation becomes, and the more radicalizes the populous becomes, the more endangered the local populous becomes and the US troops and the more troops are needed to "keep/make the peace"

Well, I'll give you a history lesson and point out that insurgent activity has gone down, steadily for some time now, in Iraq. Based n that fact, withdrawing troops too soon--per the commanders on the ground--will have a negative effect on the environment in Iraq.
But, I reckon you know more about what's going on the ground in Iraq, than the actual commanders in country do and surely, your opinion isn't grounded--no pun intended--in your politics.

The people in the country haven't decided how many troops they want to stay yet. The situation is fluid, if we over stay Al-Sadar's troops, with or without his direction, will start attacking Americans and the Iraqi government again enhancing sectarian tensions with Sunnis as well.
Part of the reason why insurgency was so strong in Iraq was because the military and those in charge of politics (the Americans given full control over areas) ignore the history and politics of Iraq and de-Bathized Iraq, alienating many Sunnis.
