Investigators Probe White House Role in Massive Energy Loan

It was a mistake but it wasn't as big of an impact as other recent events like the credit downgrade.
 
And another one...The Obama Administration is giving $737 million to a Tonopah Solar, a subsidiary of California-based SolarReserve. PCG is an investment partner with SolarReserve. Nancy Pelosi’s brother-in-law happens to be the number two man at PCG.

It is surprising that the downgrade wasn't done earlier and by all credit rating companies. We now know why the others held back.

The United States, at $15 trillion in debt, is simply not an AAA economy. Now the White House is showing what happens if you dare try and cross them by holding a revenge investigation by the SEC on S&P. They will do whatever it takes to silence any critics.

This is the most corrupt White House in the past 100 years, probably more and perhaps ever.

I guess losing a half billion wasn't enough, you might as well shoot the entire wad.

The U.S. Department of Energy said it plans to push ahead with as much as $5.3 billion in potential additional alternative energy loans by Friday, despite Republican complaints the money is going out too quickly to untested firms.

No, i don't think so. It was obvious then the direction that was being taken. And although Obama promised to change that direction no one should have taken him seriously.

Certainly. And all those billions of dollars in the previous "stimulus"? Where did that all go?

It's as though money is just being shoveled into the back of a long line of trucks going to special interests and Friends Of Obama. That's the only shovel ready jobs there ever were.

A company was given a loan. An official at one of the investment funds who has also loaned the company money (or invested in the company) happens to be 'someone'. Therefore, in the tabloid-addled mind, that 'someone' was given taxpayer money.

No partisan political smearing to be seen here folks, move along.... :lol:

Well of course. The Republicans want to shut it down, for partisan reasons I'd imagine, which leaves the administration little choice other than to ram the rest of it through before the GOP throws out the baby with the bathwater. The Dems are trying to build; the Reps are trying to destroy; were it not for the right wing fanaticism (and attempts to destroy Obama at all costs, including destroying the country in the process), the administration could proceed at a more prudent pace.
