    This the right approach to handling business regulation. Contrary to pundits, regulation is not a four legs good two legs bad sort of situation. You can find plenty of regulations that are pointless and inhibit business, plenty of good ones that provide reasonable protections and plenty of places where the lack of regulation hurts. You need to analyze each rule based on the specific conditions of that particular market.

    Yes, lets ask the industry what regulations they want and don't want. There's no bias there at all. None of them want certain regulations to remain in place to thwart upstarts. No, not all.

    They care about employing people? They can be trusted in regulating themselves? Sicne when was it a companies job to employ people rather than make money?
