The Washington Post says that a spire broke off of the National Cathedral. That's just a few blocks from where I live.
    Are you coming to bed?
    I can't. This is important.

Buildings in the East were not built to the same standards they are here and they might have damage we might not see.
This was first time in my life that I've felt an earthquake.

Fox News is reporting that it's all Obama's fault.

It's always a liberal's fault. Rosie O'Donnell must have finally learned how to jump.
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

Re: Earthquake On US East Coast

Citizens on the Left Coast are complaining that earthquakes are unfairly distributed around the US, and are demanding Obama do something about it.

I bet Obama is already commissioning a committee to write a statement about the lean of the monument.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
