58% of GOP Primary Voters See Tea Party As A Plus for Republicans in 2012

First of all its a given that Rasmussen leans to the right with its results and question wording...but lets take this as true and analyze his results.

58% of GOP Primary Voters See Tea Party As A Plus for Republicans in 2012 - Rasmussen Reports™

27% of america identify as republicans...58% of that does not seem to be any kind of consensus for the Teaparty...When you consider 37% identify as democrats. Doesnt seem like a consensus for the Teaparty to me

In 5,566 interviews with registered voters conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press during the first two months of 2008, 36% identify themselves as Democrats, and just 27% as Republicans.

It's highly likely that a large portion of that 58% actually votes while that isn't true with the population in general.

I dont trust that 58% number...Ive seen other polls that tell a much different story...about the popularity of the teaparty....The gop is worried about it because im constantly getting poll questions via email from my Rep and Sen and the state GOP....yes im still a registered republican...but only because ive been to lazy to go get the form and switch to independent...
