Perhaps... and I feel the same about sand and Obama.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

Perhaps we should hope for better than sand or Bachmann?

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

I was hoping that way 2 years and 9 months ago, alas I was disappointed.

So was I. Obama was simply the best chocie we had. I would hope we would learn from this and work hard to get better choices for both parties. It isn't about agreeing on every issue, but in having mature, competent leadership. No nutters.

I've been disappointed as well, but there is nothing on offer from the other side to make me shift my vote. Romney doesn't completely scare me - especially if he were able to return to the Romney he was when he was Governor instead of the Romney he has to be to compete with Wild-Eyes Bachmann. Just like I would've considered the 2000 model of John McCain, but could not conceivably vote for the 2008 model - especially with the Veep choice he made.

So, the world as we know it will be no more if and when Rick Santorum gets elected president, so Iran won't get a nuclear weapon, the world having ended and all.

Is that really what he meant to say, or is he using a George Bush grammatical construction?

I will keep telling myself that. And in about 14 months I won't any more.... you actually think Obama's going to get re-elected with the U.S. in the **** it's in?

Depends purely on who he runs against.
