Re: Sen. Lee threatens to filibuster debt ceiling vote

Curious why anyone thinks it is a BAD thing to debate and ensure that the legislation being passed is actually GOOD for the country. I know...I know...why should we question legislation that comes out of congress...especially legislation rammed down peoples throats at the last minute. What could POSSIBLY go wrong there...

Then maybe the teabaggers should have compromised sooner, and not tie the bill up with their pre-conditions.

Why? Why should they compromise? Why should they accept ****ty legislation? We have very little by way of details but last time they pulled this **** they trumpeted 'savings' and 'spending cuts' which amounted to a drop in the buck in DEFICIT spending cuts. So what is THIS piece of **** going to look like? Are we going to be 30 trillion in debt in ten years but consider it a success because without this legislation we would be 31 trillion in debt? Do you even know what you are supporting?

Because the teabaggers are not oppossed to debt. If they were, they wouldn't have so much debt

And if they didn't believe in govt spending, they wouldn't be such welfare queens

Wait, so now you don't want a debate?

It's as if you folks don't care that we were never going to default in the first place, and just want to fight for the sake of fighting.

Right!! That's why it took a democratic president to balance the budget

That's exactly what Obama needs his sheeple to think. Good job.

Any 3rd grader can find .4 in 2.2, and it was always going to be the first bill paid. We were never going to default, democrat president or no.

No, we'd just stop paying for anything else. Like deployed soldiers. They don't need paychecks, right?

Debate away. Where did I say dont debate? What I said is why should THEY be the ones that compromise? The last round of compromise amounted to about 300 million dollars of a dent in the DEFICIT spending...a round of negotiations heralded as a triumph by both sides. So we went from...what...spending 1.4 trillion more than what we had to spending 1.37 trillion more than what we had.

I ask again...of the people that dont have me on 'ignore' of course...As you trip over yourselves to bang on the Tea Party...do you even know what you are endorsing?
