Well, I can't prove a negative, but you're more than welcome to prove a positive by posting all those corporate tax cuts that are in the stealfromus package. We're waiting with bated breath.

You said businesses, as in ALL businesses, were making less money. I proved you wrong

Come on apdst, you are for LA. you know the oil companies are babied. See this article on where Exxon pay about 17% How much do oil companies really pay in taxes? - The Washington Post

I am fortunate I make a good income. I pay out the a$% in taxes, and it pisses me off.

I agree that I should not pay more, but because I am not big business or big oil, I don't that luxury.

I will make sacrifices to get the debt balanced, but if I have to, so do ALL Americans. If this means that granny pays a co pay on medicare, then that's what it means. If it means I don't get SSI or Medicare until I am 70, then that is what it means. But, if I am going to make these sacrifices, so should those few that the GOP are protecting by not closing loop holes and substadies (sic).

Hey, budget crisis, EVERYTHING on top of the table. NO Transparency.

I just really hate all the emotive reasoning obscuring the actual causes for this.
There's nothing wrong with proper emotion. When someone does something wrong, it is fine to be upset about it. The thing with cancer is that there are multiple causes. We've seen in the past that those put into a situation with a carcenigent, say agent orange, cna be delyed treatment while argue about whether it is the actual cause or not. What do know is that it is possible that what they were exposed to could cause cancer. Knowing that, we should treat those who put their life at risk for us. And that is what those people did.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

I'm on the service end of the oil and gas industry. I'm not making near as much money as I was three years ago. Ever hear of the drilling moratorium?

BTW, which loopholes and subsities do you wish to see closed?

Again, I'm one of those folks that lives out here in the real world, so all the links in the world aren't going to change reality.

Ever hear of the drilling moratorium? The unemployment rate has gone up since it was inacted. See a pattern?
