Glenn Beck likens Norwegian dead to Hitler youth

That observation of Europeans would seem to contradict a comparison to the Hitler Youth. I don't think a lack of pride or indifference was a problem with the Nazi's.

The absurd part of the comparison, in my view, is that the camp was for 15 to 25 year olds. Bit late for indoctrination.

The major reason parents send their kids to these camps is to try and christianize them.

I don't think there's any hypocrisy. Except your own, because you seem to have a bigger problem with religious camps than political ones. Religiophobia, perhaps? Bigotry towards pious persons?

But it isn't political so it is okay even though a lot of topics at the camp are political topics.
 
Wow, so It's true, Liberals can't understand the written word, and will twist anything to fit their agenda of hate toward anyone who is a Conservative.

Beck did not compare the dead to the Hitler Youth and those of you who have more then a 5th grade education know that what he did was to compare the sound of "political camp," to Hitler Youth which if you think about it, it kind of does.

Why don't Liberals try to stick to facts there are plenty out there without changing things to suit you agenda of hate.

Hitler Youth did attend "poltical camps."

That is very different than saying the dead were like Hitler Youth and you know it.

Thanks. I think a healthy dose of arrogance never hurt anyone. I stand by my statement. European teens tend to mature faster than American teens. Many of our laws reflect the level of trust we place in the maturity of our youth. It's a fact. Call it arrogance if you wish.

People have to learn to be independent thinkers.
Bobbleheading isn't the answer, regardless whether its Beck (fill in the blank talking head) or some politician, we mustn't defend everything they say.
While we might agree with their ideology now and then, or even most of the time, we must realize that most who have a gig for money want ears and/or eyeballs, and they say what they think we want to hear/see. That doesn't make it right. When we lose our critical thinking ability and are so 'star struck' that we defend everything that comes out of their mouths, we are nothing but sheeple.
I find a political camp for kids a bit strange myself, but why question its merits under these circumstances? Its nothing but grandstanding.

So by your reasoning it would be valid to also compare the Tea Party political camps to Hitler Youth camps?

those would be skills, not attitudes about life. Would you agree that a good Christian youth camp would seek to impact a certain attitude about life among its members?
