ANY junkie bites the dust...Wah...wah...wah...
It's sad. Period. And, if you don't recognize that, that speaks volumes of YOU.
It's highly likely she died of an overdose.
Life is cruel. You mourn her because she was popular. You know her; not the legion other ODs.
With cancer it depends. If you smoke 2 packs a day or so it'd be the same. Why should I be schocked and give her special attention when she dug her grave?
And that may be.
But you see, the best prevention I see is by not being a fool and taking that first shot of heroin, etc.
Out of curiousity; if we could also arrange for Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber to be hit by a bus, can we have Joe Strummer back???

Sadness surrounds us on a daily basis. It's not that I am insensitive to it but more that I am more selective as to where I invest my tears.

unlike some cold hearted asswipes
What an odd behavior you have.
You mourn a celebrity, yet not any of the thousands that die each day.
Very sad story, very great waste of a wonderful musical talent.
BBC News - Amy Winehouse found dead, aged 27
Her Back to Black album was one of the best recordings of the past decade, but it seems that psychological demons and addictions got the best of her. I'm very sad at this news. She gave a lot of people a great deal of pleasure.

Great? Amy Winehouse?
Tehre was nothing great about her, not personally nor professionally.
How can anybody raise her up to be better than she was?
It was her choice to do what she did and how she did it. She is gone now and we can get on with our own lives.
Great? She didn't produce enough product over enough time to be considered one of the great ones.
For Amy « Russell Brand... Whether this tragedy was preventable or not is now irrelevant. It is not preventable today. We have lost a beautiful and talented woman to this disease. ...
