Tell me this... how is it better to live in a blood thirsty egocentric society where you risk getting killed by drive bys or a random crazy person with a gun? That you have the ability to "feel" safe and carry a gun? Does it make you feel more manly that you have life and death between your hands?

If you don't do drugs or hang out with drug dealers your chance of getting murdered in the USA are lower than many parts of europe. Do you feel more ladylike by being disarmed?

Are you serious that such pathetic police work happens in the US? That a killers word is more valuable than facts?
self defense is not a legal option in many eurosocialist nations. we know about that poor british fellow who got charged for shooting some robbers who broke into his abode.

Damn straight. Get pissed, get mad, and go after that punk. Make him eat that gun. You want to think that even if he plugs you in the chest your will and momentum will crash into him allowing someone else to charge him.

I know it is sometimes easier said than done and one can't feel too matched in your bathing suit against an armed assailant.

I truly like to believe that anyone who pulls a gun out on a passenger airplane in America is going to trigger a mass charge on him by passengers.

I think it's reasonable to bring up guns, and I'd expect a reasonable reaction to the specific situation, not something extreme like a gun ban. As to the bomb, I saw a forensics show once about how some fertilizers and explosives can be manufactured to include a resin that will not be destroyed. The resins are individual to each manufacture and each explosive, so it's easier to prove an individual did purchase the explosives and worked with them in their home or garage. In America there is no laws requiring any company to include such resins and compounds in the manufacturing process. I think these are all relevant points that should be discussed. We all just want to be safer, having a discussion about safety shouldn't be considered a taboo and shut down.

Those killed ranged in age from 14-25.

Obviously it isn't just your typical homicide involving a gun death... I don't know much about the gun he used or his past run ins with the law involving guns, etc. but I'd like to know how easy it is to get that much ammo? Most people don't need that much ammo to defend their home or go hunting with. That doesn't seem right, and I'll admit, I don't know the facts yet.

The viking ancestry maybe??? I went to school with somebody from Norway, and said the viking imagine was embarrassing.

I just can get over the fact that someone who identifies himself as Christians can commit something that is so evil, wicked, and heinous. I still think if someone in the camp had the fire arm this could have saved so many lives. If Norway has Death Penalty, I strongly believe that this jerk should be put to death for what he has committed.

I heard something like that too... How did he get it and all that ammo though? I heard that that gun could have been obtained through the military, and I am not sure, but I think Norway is compulsory military service.

Rained yesterday. Bet that was the fault of liberals too.
No, silly. That was the conservatives! They prayed for rain.

They were kids, and you're expecting average people/average kids to act like they deserve the medal of honor... not even most soldiers act in that fashion. It's easy to also say what they should have done when you weren't there yourself. Most people want to live and not die, and would prefer somebody else risk themselves. The desire to survive is as a basic as you can get.

The only people who are willing to risk themselves for others like that, are probably just going to be parents doing it for their own children.
