I didn't ask for an explaination and it seems that nobody agree's that the amount of time it took authorities to arrive is acceptable.

You said it was crazy that it took 90 minutes. Whether you asked for an explanation, the reasons it took 90 minutes were posted, and they show that it was not "crazy"

Unacceptable is not the same as crazy

99.9% of these kinds of attacks take place in areas where everyone is knowingly unarmed; the right to keep and bear arms isn't anywhere in the neighborhood.

No, I stand by the statement that his being able to calmly walk around the island for over 90 minutes shooting people is crazy.

The people in the WTC had the right to keep and bear arms. It didn't stop the planes. Dr Vitter had the right to keep and bear arms. It didn't stop the rightwing terrorist from shooting him. The FBI agents in the Federal bldg in OKC had the RTKBA but that didn't stop McVeigh.

Exactly. I know it sounds crazy, but what if he wouldn't have been able to fine a target unarmed enough for his liking and didn't attack anyone?

Shooting at two aircraft with handguns wouldn't have done a damn bit of good, either. Guns aren't much defense against car bombs and aircraft being used as cruise missiles.

Apples and oranges. What's next? The 2nd Amendment didn't stop the Joplin tornado?

    Re: Explosions In Norway

I don't really think the 2nd is going to stop people like this. People who are intent on killing to the level this guy was, nothing is going to stop them. Maybe on occasions one could lessen the damage but these guys don't do things on the spur of the moment. They will make their plans where they know they can do the most damage.

Now if a burglar knows I'm armed, he's going to keep on going.
