Right, she's running to her base because she wants to win.

Are you just blind to the fact that Republicans are politicians too?

I know all about what the house did; they created a poltical sideshow for the 2012 elections

Obama does not want what the house passed because the republicans will not compromise.

That is correct there is things both sides want. Problem is Obama said he would veto it because he does not want a budget. He has not had a budget for 2 years why would he want one now

    Are there any tax increases?

I don't see raising the ceiling as a compromise because the repubs are not opposed to it. They want to raise the ceiling just as much as the dems.

The Gang of 6 (actually, I hear it's up to 7 now) is a bi-partisan group. None of the members of it are in the "leadership" (though I'd argue that they're showing more leadership than either Obama or Boehner at this point).

I don't know if I'd trumpet this as the GOP wanting to compromise. You got 4 middle of the road Republicans (also called RINOs when they're inconvenient to the Tea Party) to agree with 3 middle of the road Democrats. None of whom are in the same room as Obama and Boehner while "negotiating."

If it doesn't happen, everything will tank.

the house passed the ryan budget, the house passed ccb

the party in power in the us senate has failed to pass a budget in three years---in times like these

if something isn't done NOW to fundamentally restructure our budgets, then our precious big 3 federal programs, as well as state pensions, will die

and all the tax revenue you can raise outta this exhausted economy can't amount to a bucket in an ocean

    just the facts, maam

    leadership, anyone?
