Scott Peterson jury did just that. It's not suspicion it is making a rational conclusion based on an investigation of the data available, having a strong conviction that has no reasonable doubt.
Convicting someone based upon emotion is a sure way to wrongfully convict people. Just because Peterson's jury did so doesn't mean that it was right to do so.
Even if it was reasonable to think it may have been an accidental death, it is not reasonable to think George was the caregiver at the time. Finding her guilty of manslaughter of a child was a lay-up.
Why isn't it reasonable to think that George was the caregiver at the time?
They could have said Caylee was abducted by aliens and some of you would buy it.
Defending the juries decision does not mean that we believe that Casey is innocent. I for one know that murderous people do beat the system and are freed. Just as I know that there are innocents that get convicted and are sentenced to death. The system that we have isn't perfect. But its a damn sight better than the system that was in place before where even just a claim by some important person could get an innocent hung.
