You are just like these jurors, unwilling to understand Casey is a sociopath. That does a disservice to the rest of us. The future victims of Casey could have been prevented.

Re: Casey Anthony Verdict, jurors safety?

Her name remains a secret. She’s known simply as juror number 12. And while she has a certificate from Florida’s 9th Circuit, embossed with calligraphy thanking her for her duty as a member of the Casey Anthony jury, her life since being released from that duty has been one of cat and mouse. A red-haired woman in her 60s who moved to Florida from Michigan, she told the court she worked at a Publix Grocery when she was questioned as a potential juror. Now, she’s in hiding. Juror number 12 left Florida. Her husband, fighting back tears, tells NBC News he’s not sure when she’ll return to her home in Florida. Why? He says she fears half of her co-workers want her head on a platter. The others may understand what she did, but she didn’t want to face them. She was due to retire in the fall, but Juror number 12, after being released from sequestration, chose to call her boss to announce she couldn’t come to work. She didn’t feel safe. She retired over the phone.

I bet that many jurors feel the same. And it's sad. All they did was their jobs, and they shouldn't have to fear for their lives. It sounds as if, already, their lives were uprooted for this trial. Now that it's over, they should be able to return to some sort of normalcy. After all, it wasn't them who caused Caylee's death. Furthermore, the evidence presented didn't fully convince me, either. Accusations concerning Casey's psychological condition have, so far, been mostly supposition. I do think it is likely that she is guilty, however. But I don't blame the jury for what has happened. I wouldn't be opposed to vigilantism against Casey, though.

First of all, murder is not an indication of a sociopath. Your claim is ridiculous, unfounded, and indefensible. Second, I'm unwilling to classify her as having a mental disorder without the testimony of a mental health professional who has examined her, her history, and her family before making that determination. You are far to quick to make an assumption based on little to no experience. That is disturbing.

One guy wrote two articles without ever having interviewed or examined Casey. I'm hardly convinced.

What is disturbing are people who fail to grasp the simplicity of events presented in this case. Only a sociopath could have the cold heart necessary to have carried through with each step. The evidence of this condition is there, all the way back to middle school where her anti-social conduct was first becoming visible. The early interviews with her friends and family reveal such conduct.

The failure of the prosecution to have such forensic psychologists examine Casey and her history closely, and give their findings to the jury, is the biggest omission in this case. They were going after a death penalty, were over-confident in the forensic evidence, and failed to give the narrative sitting right before them. It's really a shame. Going after a death penalty, the prosecution did not want to put a label indicating mental illness on Casey. That would have elicited sympathy. But avoidance of the truth spelled defeat. They should not have sought the death penalty.

I don't care about the jurors that much...but Casey Anthony should still get some justice dealt to her.
