Who is arguing that there is not a net job loss over the last 2 and a half years? The graph shows that. It just also shows huge job losses prior to January 2009 as well.

But then again there must have been a lot of high fives in the GOP when those numbers came out...
White House advisors are becoming aware that the public is becoming skeptical of the continued attempts to blame George Bush for the economy so their new economic plan involves attaching blame to Richard Nixon, the Vietnam War and Watergate. Their tentative motto is 'Everything Old Is New Again".

The fact is there hasn't been a net private sector job gain and that is the point. Obama touts private sector employment and ignores the jobs he has lost

As we have seen, the Federal Reserve can not do this. So we can blame D.C. for passing the buck but that aside, we were told that the billions we were going to spend was going to take care of the problem.

Which is exactly what I said. There has not been a net private sector job gain since Obama took office. There was not a net private sector gain for the entire 8 years Bush was in office because the job losses in 2008 wiped out all the job gains while he was in office. The last president to have net private sector job gains when he left office was Clinton at 22 million new jobs.

Which is my point, both the hard core Republicans and they the hard core Democrats are trying to polish a turd here. The Republicans want everyone to ignore the fact that their guy sucked worse than Carter did with the economy, and the Democrats don't seem to want to recognize that at this point, it is Obama's economy.

I don't mind so much that they keep failing at it. More so that it's not front and center in the national spotlight.

It's like when you tasks someone with a job at work, and they don't do it/fail at it. This in itself is not a big deal, because if they COMMUNICATE with you why they are failing, and you put your heads together you can either remedy it, or agree to take it from them and have someone else do it, do it yourself, etc. <- that's routine business.

The absolute WORST thing to occur is if no communication occurs, and it's just fails, and nothing happens. <- that's how business fails..or the economy.

LOL, yes, I suppose I agree with that.

We've seen Bernanke's statements of late saying that he had no idea why he was failing.

    So far nothing is happening.

Because they are in charge and have been since the beginning of this economic turndown.

Ok. So, how has the GOP inhibited job creation?

Obviously, you think it's the fault of the Republicans. Go ahead and tell us what they did to cause such high unemployment.

Musta been the drilling ban that did it. Oh...wait...!
