Humberto Leal Garcia Jr., a Mexican national convicted of raping and killing a 16-year-old girl in 1994, was executed by lethal injection in Texas Thursday evening.

The Supreme Court earlier denied a stay of execution for the convicted killer, despite opposition from the Obama administration and the Mexican government.

God Bless Texas for doing the right thing.

So much for Obama stopping it and its "irreparable harm".

Hopefully the death of this POS will bring some closure for the family who have waited 17 years for this.

ftw and ftun. This animal was convicted of raping and murdering a 16 year old girl. He is now in hell burning in a lake of fire forever.

Obama's all kinda fail here. He failed to persuade Perry to stop, couldn't get SCOTUS to step in...

And a "Mexican National" Whom btw had been here since he was TWO years old.... got a ticket to hell, may the Good Lord forgive his sins.

And the next time an American citizen arrested in a foreign country asks for access to the U.S. Consul, we shouldn't be too surprised if the answer they get back is ' why should we allow you this? Your country doesn't."

The issue isn't whether or not this piece of crap deserved to be executed. Of course he did.

The issue is what affect this has on the generally accepted principle that people arrested in a foreign country have the right to talk to a representative of their own country. Christ even Iran allows that.

But this is a big picture thing that is obviously far beyond the grasp of the Neanderthal Perry and his knee jerk supporters.

I'm sure in terms of many countries the risks they would take in terms of diplomatic relations and financial/military support would deter them from behaving in that manner.

Im ok with this. Stay out of hostile countries. Obey local laws. And if you don't and you're arrested, sorry about your bad luck.

But because we're America we can get away with it?

Big picture, people. Try looking at it once in a while.

I think the 12+ million illegals we essentially allow to stay here in violation of law is a good trade off for one murderous douche bag who didn't get a chance to meet with somebody.

Yeah its America's fault not the scum bag who should have been croaked in a much more painful fashion?

Why, you don't.

How many countries are worth the time if they put stock in the plight of a child rapist and killer (who had been here since the age of two)... I'm really not gonna worry.

Also, his last words were:

"One more thing," he said as the drugs began taking effect. Then he shouted twice, "Viva Mexico!"

Another undocumented Obama voter bites the dust.

our soft hearted posters think that an American in another country with a valid visa is somehow the same as an illegal. If one of our citizens was an illegal in say Botswana and raped and murdered some girl I couldn't care less if he wasn't allowed to see our consul. On the other hand if someone is on a valid visa or entered lawfully that is different-which would have been the case with a Mexican with proper paperwork here in the states

Didn't we allow that one kid to get caned in the Phillipene's or somewhere like that some years ago for vandalizing cars?

If the situations were reversed and an American citizen did this in another country, to one of their citizens, you bet your ass I'm ok with them carrying out an execution.

And should that actually ever happen..........expect to see unicorns flying out of monkey's butts.

Akin to the belief that if we treat Gitmo prisoners really well today........Radical islam will stop beheading Americans tomorrow.

I think Texas did the right thing. We shouldn't bow to UN sovereignty. The UN is a hypocritical country club of world leaders with a label.

a few years ago two german nationals were convicted in arizona of some heinous crime and sentenced to be croaked. back then arizona was using the needle but still had as an option the single most painful method of execution every used in the United States-cyanide gas. One of the mopes chose that to make a statement how barbaric execution was. what really upset his supporters was Arizona made him enter the gas chamber wearing only an adult diaper claiming that a prison uniform could retain some of the toxic chemicals. So Herr Prisoner not only was painfully croaked he was humiliated as well

If an American citizen commits a crime in a foreign country, then they should get what they deserve.

In regard to the OP: I hope the bastard suffered, before he died.

Message to the UN. Head'em up and move'em out!

Big picture is this guy got the justice he deserved. The fact that he was a Mexican national is tangential as best.

This was expected. The same thing happened in 2008. Some piece of **** illegal murdered someone.Bush and all the other globalist pieces of **** pissed bitched and moaned that his consular rights were violated and tried to stop Texas from executing that piece of ****. Texas metaphorically gave the globalist pieces of **** the middle finger. The supreme court agreed with Texas and globalist pieces of **** lost.
