Big picture, people. Try looking at it once in a while.
I think the 12+ million illegals we essentially allow to stay here in violation of law is a good trade off for one murderous douche bag who didn't get a chance to meet with somebody.

    Why, you don't.

How many countries are worth the time if they put stock in the plight of a child rapist and killer (who had been here since the age of two)... I'm really not gonna worry.

    Also, his last words were:

"One more thing," he said as the drugs began taking effect. Then he shouted twice, "Viva Mexico!"

Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

our soft hearted posters think that an American in another country with a valid visa is somehow the same as an illegal. If one of our citizens was an illegal in say Botswana and raped and murdered some girl I couldn't care less if he wasn't allowed to see our consul. On the other hand if someone is on a valid visa or entered lawfully that is different-which would have been the case with a Mexican with proper paperwork here in the states

The issue isn't whether or not this piece of crap deserved to be executed. Of course he did.

The issue is what affect this has on the generally accepted principle that people arrested in a foreign country have the right to talk to a representative of their own country. Christ even Iran allows that.

But this is a big picture thing that is obviously far beyond the grasp of the Neanderthal Perry and his knee jerk supporters.
Didn't we allow that one kid to get caned in the Phillipene's or somewhere like that some years ago for vandalizing cars?

If the situations were reversed and an American citizen did this in another country, to one of their citizens, you bet your ass I'm ok with them carrying out an execution.

And should that actually ever happen..........expect to see unicorns flying out of monkey's butts.

Akin to the belief that if we treat Gitmo prisoners really well today........Radical islam will stop beheading Americans tomorrow.

I think Texas did the right thing. We shouldn't bow to UN sovereignty. The UN is a hypocritical country club of world leaders with a label.

Re: Mexican national executed in Texas

a few years ago two german nationals were convicted in arizona of some heinous crime and sentenced to be croaked. back then arizona was using the needle but still had as an option the single most painful method of execution every used in the United States-cyanide gas. One of the mopes chose that to make a statement how barbaric execution was. what really upset his supporters was Arizona made him enter the gas chamber wearing only an adult diaper claiming that a prison uniform could retain some of the toxic chemicals. So Herr Prisoner not only was painfully croaked he was humiliated as well
