Do people actually believe statements like this or are they just trying to be funny?
    It's called Truthiness.

    lol nah

Even if Obama doesn't get reelected, he in no way "knows that" right now...he beats every potential Republican challenger in just about every poll, including swing states, and including those Republicans with the highest name recognition (such as likely nominee Mitt Romney). So it's not impossible for the GOP to defeat him next year...but it is far from a foregone conclusion.

And even if Obama DID believe he was gonna lose, your suggestion is that rather than taking the next year and a half to turn that around, he's simply "having fun"...lol. Based on his golf outing with John Boehner, and his 4th of July weekend vacation. What sort of person lives in such a fantasy world and actually believes such cartoonish assumptions?

Having said all that, the post was not even worth responding to in the first place - it clearly comes from a person who will blindly disapprove of Obama whether he takes a 4th of July vacation (he's lazy!) or ignores the holiday (he's unpatriotic!)...so shame on me for giving it the time of day.

Yeah and all the polls last year predicted that the Dems would keep control of Congress, too. Polls predicted that Gore and Kerry would win by landslides.

You're missing the point. One day Obama suggests that the Senate work through the holiday, then the next day Obama trots off to Camp David, for the holiday. That's piss poor leadership. I don't care who ya are.

Ummm....what are you talking about? It was widely assumed that the GOP was going to take over the House and possibly even the Senate as well.

Obama suggested the Senate stay to finish the work that the Senate has not finished yet. Obama, as you may have heard, is no longer in the Senate.

He's the leader of the free world. He should be leading. He should have made time for lunch Friday. That's what a leader does, but then again, we're talking about Obama.

Why would he have lunch with a man who said his mission was make sure Obama wouldn't get reelected? This partisan crap should never be tolerated!

It isn't Obama's mission to see that Republicans are voted out of Congress? This was Obama's chance to be the bigger man, but as we expected, he blew it.
