Obama Dismisses 'Fuss' About Libya Battle

today: Rebel feud puts UK's Libya policy in jeopardy - Africa, World - The Independent

The credibility of the rebel forces in Libya has been thrown into doubt after the shock assassination of a top military commander led to claims that the movement is enmeshed in a bloody internal feud.

Increasing evidence has begun to emerge that the savage killings of General Abdel Fatah Younes and two other senior officers – who were shot and whose bodies were burnt – may have been carried out by their own side.

The news of the deaths led to outbreaks of violence in the opposition capital, Benghazi, yesterday, with troops loyal to the General and members of the large and powerful tribe to which he belonged, the Obeidis, vowing retribution.

are you sure this white house knows what it's doing?

Lots of bad guys in the world.. but he chooses Libya.. what did he just say a few days ago about drones being so great?? Yeah.. he finds his ways around getting Congressional approval (We The People).. cap and trade goes to EPA, Dream Act sneaks in through ICE.. now war is apparently not war that needs to go before Congress if there are no boots on the ground... bombing all over the place.. Yemen, now Somalia today... I know what's with this guy. He is so full of himself he does what he wants any way he has to do it. Total disrespect for We The People, his own Generals, he is answering to a different boss. High degree globalist, never lets his feet (ideology) touch the ground here in the USA if he can avoid it... I could go on all day, but that is as close as I can get to staying on topic..

Reminds me of a good article (Obama and the Nobel Prize: When War becomes Peace, When the Lie becomes the Truth)

As always, it's not wrong when they do it.

They are bathed in the holy light of humanitarian progressivism

. Don't you know?

It's covered in Meme 101 at Harvard.

What do you mean by "they". The left has a more consistent anti-war policy than the right does.

Actually, on second thought, that's not true. The right is consistently anti-war when there's a democrat in the white house

installing someone who they more prefer

sorry, he was just assassinated by his own people

no worries, tho

it's not like we're involved in any hostilities or anything

days not weeks, anyone?

What's with the incessant "days not weeks"? Why are you referring to Rumsfelds predictions about the length of the Iraq War?

No it wouldn't they'd fall just as quickly.

Not only would Iran fall about as quickly, it would be much easier to nation build. There are intellectuals who are not complacent with the regime still alive, unlike Iraq.

What's with him? Arrogance, that's what. Audacious, call it what you will, he thinks his **** don't stink.

Tim-

My poo does not stink, because I'm vegan. :prof

Limited War hes been an umitigated disaster....in it's simplest terms it means do not fight to win.

Nonsense. The war is limited as in supporting-role.

Obama you shouldnt get involved with other peoples civil wars thats period. Do not just brush this **** off.

When it's a democratic movement against a brutal dictator, we should get involved. Have we no conscience?

Yes, they do know what they are doing. Kicking out Gaddafi and installing someone who they more prefer.

No, there will be elections.

Go Obama! Kill that dictator. Iran next.

Who is "he?" If you are talking about that Libyan commander, then yes, he was killed by his own people ( Witnesses: Commander killed by fellow Libya rebels : Information Clearing House News). However, that commander is not the leader of the Libyan rebels. The leader of the Libyan rebels is who the West prefers over Gaddfai, and it is that leader of the National Transitional Council who is to replace Gaddafi.

LOLZ. There is no proof that Iran is making WMDs ("No Shred of Evidence", Iran Building Nukes, Ex Head of IAEA Says)

Also this:

On the issue of Iran attempting to acquire nuclear weapons, I must respectfully disagree with you due to the fact that I have yet to see anyone come out with definitive proof that Iran is trying to attain nuclear weapons. I agree that Iran should not have nuclear weapons and that Israel is justified in being worried, however I have not seen any proof that Iran is trying to attain nukes. If one reads the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT Treaty) which Iran is a signatory of (NPT (in alphabetical order)), Iran has the right to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

So my view is that unless someone can prove that Iran is making nukes (which it doesn't seem like that, but I've been wrong before), then Iran is using the nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
