Not over my head. It's just incredibly stupid. It's simple - you aren't as familiar with Jon Stewart as you think because you wouldn't have made any of the arguments that you made. Nothing about his impression was even remotely racist - it was pretty funny though.
Can you show me where I said what he did was racist? Can you see how some would view it as racist? Can you see where the double standard applies (had a conservative done this they would have been blasted by the left)? You are reaching here to argue a point I did not make. I pointed out the hypocrisy and you want to argue about a red herring.

I never claimed that you think what he did was racist. I said that the idea that it's racist is ridiculous. Why would liberals come out and say that Stewart went to far when he clearly didn't go to far? And yes, I can see how some would consider it racist only as much as I can see how some would consider mocking any black person racist. Stewart mocks any politician, or really any person, who he thinks has said or done something stupid. And no, I cannot see the double standard because we're talking about Jon Stewart, a comedian, who does impressions of EVERYBODY including Obama.

If Anderson Cooper had done the impression, the reaction would be more negative because Cooper is a serious journalist so your claims that conservatives would be blasted is irrelevant because Cooper would have been blasted as well. Show me a prominent conservative satirist and I'll show you a conservative who can get away with it.

What John Steward was not racist. Are people really that stupid to believe that he was racist because Fox ran clip after clip calling him racist?
    Some people are just dumb.

No, you're looking ridiculous by lieing on me.

I don't think Stewart thought he was being racist in that bit, but that is the problem that arises when libs label any disagreement with Obama as race based. Stewart is just a jack add comiedian that like most libs thinks he is smarter than anyone else in the room, and fancies himself a quasi political pundent until he gets busted saying something stupid, then he's just a comiedian again. What a putz....

Nope, he's a comedian who did the same thing to Cain as he does to everyone else. He didn't get "caught" unless by caught you mean doing the same thing every night at 11.

Stewart is a joke. The "I'm a comiedian" thing is a dodge. And his targets are far more conservative than liberal purposely.

Let's face it most of the Hollyweird types are mindless partisan Liberals who talk a good game but never play by the rules.

Stewart is no different than the rest of the followers of Obama who are always plying follow the leader because that old inability to have independent original thoughts.

It's why every time we see an attack on Sarah Palin it's the same one we heard from another Liberal an hour ago and they are all distortions and lies, but never original. You would think they would at least change the wording but that would be too complicated.

The thing a lot of you all seem to be missing is this. The target of most of Stewart and Colbert's ire is not politicians, nor any political figures. It's the news media. Yes, it's mostly Fox, because Fox is basically a circus and should be treated that way. But mostly he's making fun of the news. Notice that he only tends to mock politicians for stuff they say... on the news! It's the portrayal that's lampooned, not the people. Stewart doesn't say "Sarah Palin is stupid." He says "Man, this big bus with the constitution on it is pretty absurd, don't you think?"

Jon Stewart doesn't really discuss policy that often. Sometimes he'll mock decisions that are silly. But he basically only pokes fun at someone when they do something stupid, as opposed to something he doesn't agree with. A well-enacted conservative move would escape his ire. A reasoned and well-researched piece on Fox would not draw his attention.

Sorry conservatives, you guys just happen to do more of the absolutely absurd things. The worst that democrats do is spend money in inefficient ways. Well, second worst. Sometimes the best named guy ever will show people pictures of his crotch. Republicans talk about building walls to keep Mexicans out. Which of those two do you think is funnier?
