Wis. Gov. signs budget cutting education $1.85B

The radical right wing war on the working class continues in full force.

It is interesting that Walker had to move the location at the last minute. He was going to sign the bill at a notorious anti-union factory but then it came out that the infamous owner was a convicted felon. Nice allies he has - anti-union thugs and criminals.

Walker moves budget signing from tax felon's company - JSOnline

Your use of notorious and infamous show your already obvious partisan hackery is in full swing, as usual.

Also, you should read ALL of your linked pieces.. not just the parts you like...

Reached by No Quarter on Friday, DeCaster was frank about his past troubles.

In 1994, he was charged with 12 felony counts, and a jury found him guilty of eight of them a year later. All counts had to do with evading income taxes or filing false tax returns.

"It was a horrible thing to go through," DeCaster said. "But it made us better - better controls."

And it's not like his company was hiding the information from Walker's team. Werwie said DeCaster's office alerted the governor's advance team to the potential problems on Friday morning.

DeCaster, who has run the company since his father's death in 1983, placed the blame for the tax problems on a former bookkeeper. But he said he was the one held accountable because his name appeared on the tax returns.

"It was a mistake, but what the hell? That's what happens," DeCaster said. "It's a small business. One minute you're cleaning the bathroom, and the next minute you're doing this and that. We still wear many hats. We wish to have a lean corporation here."

DeCaster, 57, said he was a supporter of the governor during the 2010 election but gave him no campaign cash. He said Walker held an event at Badger Sheet Metal during the campaign last year.
Hardly sounds like an ally.

To you, anyone who is not in bed with a union is a thug. Just more of your typical partisan hackery showing.

The children of Wis are drowning in Tea.

Sometimes tea with a loving spoonful of honey is the only thing that makes you feel better when being drained by a nasty virus.

Then make that argument and cut those positions specifically. Don't just cut the budget. Be more targeted, more specific, have a bloody plan.

BTW, while money can be wasted, there is also little doubt more wealthy schools tend to do better than poorer schools for a lot of reasons, one of which is money. Money matters. Sure, it can be spent poorly, wastefully, and cannot ALONE solve problems. But having it to work with is better than not having it on the whole. Caring in part means investing in what you care about.

I thought I did, what would you like a response to? Please put it in the form of a clear, concise, and pithy question, and I will be more than happy to give you a thoughtful answer.

I thought you would continue the discussion. However, if you want questions, how about these? Do we invest in what matters? Or just needless wars?

This may sound like a really stupid question, why do you guys seem to dislike Unions so much, and please keep it at a logical answer and keep the hyperbole down to a minimum. I have my thoughts and my reading as to why, but I would rather like to know personal opinions about them.

Ok, I am back....I am willing to continue the discussion, I thought you had a question in there that needed answering. As to your comparrison of throwing money down the top loaded, and over burdened school systems, and what you characterize as "needless wars" I would say is really apples and oranges.

I have a couple of things against them. After growing up in a town dominated by the UAW, and later being in a division of the Teamsters for a time, I think they are destructive to the health of the business that we rely on to make a living.

I agree they are not the same, but it does show something about where priorities are at. We invest, spend, where we think it is important to do so. Can we use the money better? Sure. Can we pair down the top? Sure. But that isn't what you're supporting. You're supporting just cutting funds, with no real plan as to hwo to do better. Just chopping off funds, and then throw out insults at the profession. If this was something republicans actually cared about, couldn't they do better?
