I hope the teachers relocate.
Yeah, the hell with the kids, it was never about them anyway....right?

For my entire life, the government has been pouring more and more money into public schools to solve the problem of our failing education system, and kids are no better educated today than kids were 30 or 40 years ago. Since more money has not produced better educated kids, what makes you people think that less money is going to produce less educated kids?
I have an idea... It's a bit unconventional and you really have to step outside the box on this one, but how about you wait a few years and see what the educational results of those cuts actually are, before assuming that our children will be less educated?
Oh, but that wouldn't be politically prudent now would it?
I know some long time republicans who tell me they would not vote before they would vote republican again due to their approach to education. Can't say they represent a significant number, but it is an issue. I hope voters remember this.
My friend from next door states " I cannot WAIT for the recall election on this idiot. Swear."

Continually throwing more and more money at education when it is becoming clear that very little of it actually goes for educating the kids is insane. If liberal educrats want free money let them justify it first.

Cutting money is no more alid than throwing money. What you have to have either way is a plan that shows how you can do something better. If you look at it as only a count of dollars, either way, you are not concerned with education, but something else entirely.
Well, that is the educrats position, is that this isn't about the children....Education systems top loaded with redundant administrative positions, that retire in the six digit range and suck our tax money helps the children how exactly?

That's the ultimate problem... Unions are supposed (or were) to be about the workers - and that's a lie. It's about power, and it's about control; political, financial control. The teachers unions are supposed to be about the children, and they're not. It's about the teachers... about their pensions, about tenure, about everything BUT kids. If it were about kids, we as a country wouldn't be spending so much on a sub-standard education in comparison to other countries.
yes.. wanting businesses to create jobs in your state is evil
I feel bad for the kids of Wisconsin.
using the illusion wanting to create jobs while giving massive tax breaks to corporations with no actual program to create those jobs ..... yup --- that is indeed evil.
It's too bad Wisconsin is going to balance it's budget and Walker will likely pay for it with his govenor's seat in the end. People hear "education cuts", and turn a blind eye to what the cuts actually are or mean. here in NC there was all this to-do about education cuts and everyone acted like teachers were going to lose their jobs. It was just cuts to administrative positions, but people didn't care to investigate. People somehow equate education cuts to "not caring about children". But that's emotional rhetoric for you. When you don't have the details, make victims instead.
Obama had a program to create jobs...tell us how that's going, so far?

It is interesting that Walker had to move the location at the last minute. He was going to sign the bill at a notorious anti-union factory but then it came out that the infamous owner was a convicted felon. Nice allies he has - anti-union thugs and criminals.

Then make that argument and cut those positions specifically. Don't just cut the budget. Be more targeted, more specific, have a bloody plan.
BTW, while money can be wasted, there is also little doubt more wealthy schools tend to do better than poorer schools for a lot of reasons, one of which is money. Money matters. Sure, it can be spent poorly, wastefully, and cannot ALONE solve problems. But having it to work with is better than not having it on the whole. Caring in part means investing in what you care about.
Don't you know anything?

The Republican Party is hell bent on bringing the country back to the early 20th century.
