Re: Soros and liberal groups seeking top election posts in battleground states

    Alright...time for some perspective here...

    From the OP article:

    The Washington Times
A small tax-exempt political group with ties to wealthy liberals like billionaire financier George Soros...
Doesn't say that the political group is funded by George Soros.

Doesn't say that the political group is headed by George Soros.

The article merely states that George Soros is one of several wealthy individuals with a liberal lean who happens to be loosely associated with the tax-exempt political group. Nothing more.

Now, for those who are up in arms of the OP, let me remind the readers that "redistricting" has also been part how politicians game the electoral map and thus try to subvert the system. Frankly, I find nothing wrong with both sides trying to keep the other honest. If this group finds evidence of voter tampering, etc., the responsible thing to do would be to point it out and work to correct it. But that goes for both sides of the political divide.

    what were those lyrics again?

    Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Wasn't Governor Gerry of mandering infamy a Republican?

What? You assume that all prisoners are black thugs? Racism much? Anyway, you're missing the point. Nobody said anything about "black thug" prisoners voting. We're talking about people who have served their time. Do they not get to exercise their constitutional right to vote just because they were once in prison? They paid their dues. Why should they have to wait 5 years before they can vote?

Except than when a Conservative is found in questionable election activities it's an isolated case.

When is a Liberal it's wide spread organized and can end involving an entire machine such as ACORN, SEIU, and list goes on all the way to the top of the DNC who put out false talking points, and well planted lies, and propaganda in attempts to deceive, as well as fake Tea Party Candidates.

So lighten up the self nonsense righteousness of throwing all Conservatives under the bus, for the transgressions of a few, it they are even real.

You do not seem to be reading what you're contributing.

Your article claimed, "Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott and his administration voted Wednesday to rescind automatic restoration of voting rights and some civil rights to tens of thousands of convicted nonviolent felons in the state, a move that critics say smacks of a return to Jim Crow-era laws in the Sunshine State".

Do you not know what Jim Crow laws were? They took rights away from Black people.

What you are saying here is that it is only Blacks who are criminals, and American only pointed out your own racist views, or the racism in the material you appear to subscribe to. You actually owe him an apology.

What? You mean Republicans have never stuffed ballot boxes, enacted certain "rules" to show proof of residency, legal U.S. citizenship or voter registration, or reshaped district lines just to increase their number of register voters for a particular district? Surely, that's never happened before?

When Republicans do it, it's an isolated case not representative of the right wing. Just a few crazies, not a big deal.
When Democrats do it, it's a systemic effort to subvert democracy.
