And you could distinguish their gender? What neighborhood was that?

Honestly, I'm almost 50 years old, and I don't want to see that stuff either. It's just the time I grew up, but hell, let them get married. How does it affect you? They already can kiss in public. It's perfectly legal to kiss someone in public.

Well as my heart condition progresses I will need someone to feed me.

The deal comes with a daughter-in-law who knows all about that stuff. This is a no-brainer, Winston. We are soo here for you.

Dad.

I saw this earlier, and winced, but it occurs to me . . .

Is that the point of all this, after all? To codify me legally as a "bigot"?

Yes. A bill was passed in New York with the sole purpose of legally labeling you, LuckyDan from Carrollton, TX, a bigot.

It is definitely not about being treated equally under the law and being legally able to get married to the person that they love and want to spend their lives with.

Lose the persecution complex, dude. This was never about you.

Jeez, NY, it's about freaking time. I don't even know what took them so long. Now let's hope this doesn't go the way of CA.

What happened in CA? To be honest I flat-out forgot. Other side of the country to me...

It was legal and then it was sort of not:

The status of same-sex marriage in California is unique among the 50 U.S. states, in that the state formerly granted marriage licenses to same-sex couples, but has discontinued doing so. The period of granting such licenses began on June 16, 2008, due to a ruling by the Supreme Court of California based on an equal protection argument and ended November 5, 2008, due to the passage of Proposition 8,[1] an amendment to the California Constitution that limited marriages to those between one man and one woman. Before the passage of Proposition 8, California was only the second state to allow same-sex marriage.
