Out sourcing, look where manufacturing is today. We don't make much here. Slave labor in China can do it far cheaper. This, for example, has a much larger effect on the economy than anything out leaders can do.

Apparently China is losing their edge on manufacturing though. Not that it's coming back to the US. Now it's just going to even crappier countries.

Oh, I see now. Thanks for the clarification.

First off, “slave labor” is a term nutty liberals like you overuse. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist, I’m just saying you overuse it and abuse it.

China doesn’t need to pay pensions and healthcare benefits for life like we do in the US.

China doesn’t have unions that collect billions of dollars each year in union dues to buy their political representative.

China is becoming more capitalist every day and the US is becoming more socialist every day. Look how that is working out for us and for them.

The US can’t remain free while taking total control over industry. It just can’t happen. The US government needs to stop protecting unions and allow American workers the opportunity to compete with the Chinese.

This won’t bring guaranteed pensions and retirement/medical benefits to everyone but it will allow us to compete once again.

Slave labor is not hyperbole or overused when discussing China. And you make a valid point concerning health care ebenfits, which is a good reason for a single payer system, as it would remove healthcare from workplace.

The US hasn't taken control of industry, nor have I suggested they should. I merely point out that they can't fix what they don't control, and it is kind of silly to think they can.
