Boo claims the surge didn't work in Iraq. and it seems like mere "nuances" such as a complete change in doctrine are beyond his willingness to grasp in Afghanistan. My first post that you latched on to about people who spent the last several years hollering that Afghanistan was the 'good war' and Iraq the 'bad war' so we needed to put all those resources in Afghanistan? .... yeah ....

If you're going to state my position, do so honestly. I say the Iraqi's are responsible for Iraq. They started the awakening, which was the tide turner.

And yes, as I stated earlier, Afghanistan deserved more attention, and that I understood going into Afghanistan, but never called it the good war. I have always said we should not have invaded. Being honest CP is part of what we should try to do here.

He would have been better to have limited the mission to what we needed.

He did not say what you clai though. So, there was no real lie.
He said more than Afghanistan "deserved attention". It is also not true that George Bush went on a "snipe hunt" in Iraq.

This disgusting dishonesty gets overwhelming sometimes, and ruins honest debate.

He went after WMDs that weren't. While I make a little fun, it's not entirely unreasonable to call that a snipe hunt.

Now, as I've said, I agree Afghanistan deserved more attention. Obama was right about that.

So, that's why the Taliban is rejoicing in Obama's retreat? Because he kicked the crap out of them?

    BS

The elimination of the Taliban as an effective force in the field? Nope

A stable central government and a reasonable expectation that a stable government will continue after our withdrawal? Negative

None of the objectives have been met and they won't be made easier with fewer grunts.

Just imagine if you were the leader of some foreign ****hole country, and the U.S. came by and gave you the "No worries, dude we're here for the long run. Be cool and sit tight

Honestly, wouldn't you be inclined to give a resounding "**** you, gringo" in return.

Obama has shown the world.... If there's one thing you can count on is the U.S. coming in with thunder and lightning, leaving with a whimper, and then watching the resulting bloodbath that comes in the aftermath.

At least, Bush had the balls to "stay the course" and was willing to have some back bone and take the criticism.

    Obama...never

Yes, I understand how Leftist lies are just 'making a little fun'. They do it all the time.

Not sure what that means, but make no mistake, there was not what Bush and his people claimed. It was not necesaary to invade Iraq. It was not in our best interests to do so. It was costly and for our interests, not necessary.

    Not sure what that means
    ,

It means that when Leftists get caught in their lies and hyperbole they claim they were just making a little fun. That they are comedians.
but make no mistake, there was not what Bush and his people claimed.
Not only "Bush and his people", but there the US Congress, leading American politicians , the CIA, and all political leaders in the western world, as well as most in the Middle East.

Do you really believe you'll able to do the Kool Aid shuffle and no one will notice?

I can't speak for leftist, who ever they are, but that's not at all what I did.

Not that it would make any difference if that were completely true, but it's not. Bush and his people took it further, to growing and gathering, and said things not supported by intel.

You should read more for comprehension. I'm just saying . . .
