    B. So you post a thread not wanting responses? Or only responses that agree with you? Does it tick you off that I honestly don't care why they did it, or that they did it? Sorry I'm not as offended you're not having your head patted as you are.

    C. If you say so. Somehow I doubt that.
A... I did no such thing. If you read that into my statement, that's your major mental malfunction, not mine.

B... Please show me where I said 'do not respond to this thread' unless you agree with me. Has nothign to do with starw men like head patting.

    C... Doubt whatever you like.

Students have the legal right to refuse to say the Pledge. That quote you cited? It was specificially about the Pledge, wasn't it. So you're wrong.

Way to display courage of conviction.
Uh, courage about what? I don't care why they did it, and I don't care that they did it.

Yeah, well, they don't have to say it? who is forcing them? (re: atheists and non religious)
Apparently you want to, if they're in school.

Yeah, so what? What is that about 10% (and that is generous) Still constitutes an extreme minority of this nation.
Higher, actually. Possibly as high as 15%.

So because it's a minority it's ok to discriminate and disclude them? Gotcha.

    But God implies religion.
    Really? How so?

Whether you are part of a specific sect of organized religion or not.
I don't believe you are right about that at all. Religion is part of a Religion, and Believing in God is Believing in God...

Nah, I don't consider them religious morons.
I see, I know, people with too much time on their hands. Not unlike posters to message boards....heh, heh...

I consider them people who have far too much time on their hands and would rather take the time to complain instead of turning the channel or, god forbid, stop watching the channel.
Wait. Are you talking about those complaining to nbc? or those complaining about Beck? Oh, BTW, you said God...Religious are you?

none of these are 'required' wiht a belief in a 'God'. True, they fit nicely with a belief in a 'God', but not having them doesn't mean you don't believe in a 'God'.
and of americans who are not buddhists who are not part of an organized religion (or as Jmac stated not religous but believe in god do not have the following believes

a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs
Unless the believe in god is that said god created the universe and abandoned it, for all of the creatures to do what they want with no afterlife and moral requirements for entering the afterlife.

I expect all will say there is a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs if they believe in god. They may not follow the devoltional or ritual aspects of the organized religion but most likely will state that "god" does have a moral code requirement

That's fine. You are free to have your own opinion on the subject. I don't share your view.

I see, I know, people with too much time on their hands. Not unlike posters to message boards....heh, heh...

I'm talking about either. People who complain about stupid **** like that have to much time on their hands. Nobody is forcing people to watch NBC anymore than they are forcing them to watch Glenn Beck.

Yeah, well the thread is about nbc...Please stick to the topic.

Uh, courage about what? I don't care why they did it, and I don't care that they did it.
Then why post? Thanks for playin'

Apparently you want to, if they're in school.
No, I was merely refuting your assertion that no one should be in charge of things like this....If Johnny no nuts doesn't want to say the pledge, I don't care, his loss.

Says who? Atheists? Yeah, they would never pump their own numbers or anything....

So because it's a minority it's ok to discriminate and disclude them? Gotcha.
No one said disclude (is that even a word?) them....But they don't have more of a voice than they majority.
