Tide Turning on Gay Marriage

So every time you have sex, the woman gets pregnant? That is some super sperm you got there.

Most heterosexual couples do not plan sex based on when the woman is ovulating (although those who are specifically trying to get pregnant are an exception to this) and most sperm only lasts, at most, a week. So it is unlikely that the majority of heterosexual couples plan to get pregnant from sex. In fact, many know they can't.

Uh....I think you missed the point. LOL

Was it not two men cannot create a child with their parts? What other reason could you have had to ask about a child being due to the comment you quoted?

Bottom line is that you're losing. The old fashion elderly americans are passing away and the younger generation seems more accepting towards the gay community. I'm 22, and I don't know many people of my age who oppose gay marriage. And that's fine, over time we become more reasonable about social issues. It's good for our country that were becoming less anti gay, less religious countries already allowed gay marriage.

You mean the anti-SSM side is losing.

Not my side, btw.

What's wrong with being gay being seen as normal? What, do you think it will make people gay?

I don't think anyone has to think it is normal they just have to accept the fact that some people are gay. Normal is a measure that actually exists but we don't have to insist that everyone can or must conform to the norm.

Polygamy's next!!

Polygamy's next!!

Out come the slippery slope arguments! It happens every thread. Usually more than once.

Feel free to start a thread on polygamy.

Why shouldn't children be made aware of the fact that sometimes two men or two women get married? What harm will come from this knowledge?

Are you more likely to marry a dude if it becomes legal?

come on, everyone knows it will turn the kids gay
/sarcasm

sadly, that's what many of them are taught, and not in public schools BTW.

Well I just laugh at such nonsense. No one smart, rational and object thinks you can "get da gay" or be encouraged and magically turn gay. Its nonsense.

I don't believe in Gay marriage but it also is not going to affect me one way or the other as long as it is not talked about in schools to children and made to seem normal.
I know Day people think it is normal, at least my Gay brother thinks so.

I don't care what they do but I don't need to hear about it or see it in a parade.

How would it be if we held heterosexual parades? Tasteless in my book as are Gay pride ones.

gay organisations talk abaout this in school already.

Depends on what you mean by norm. Most people won't be homosexuals. But it will be widely accepted, likely by a majority. Most young people, I believe, have little problem with it.

Glad to hear it's happening in my state... Cuomo is doing great. I see him as a possible presidential in 2016.

You mean like this? The horror!

This is hardly the same as a bunch of freaks.

You want to tell children this is normal? That's nuts.

I wouldn't watch either.

I wouldn't show a kid a Mardi Gras parade and tell them that it's normal either. Unless you think all gays are drag queens or wear hot pants on a daily basis, then I think you miss the point of parades. It's a time FOR people to show off, and depending on the theme, let their freak flag fly.

I don't think shriners drive tiny motorcylces in figure eights on their way to work everyday. Do you?

You want children to be ignorant that this exists at all?

You seem to be under the impression that this is typical of the gay community. It's a parade.
