I just said in a new blog that I think it's time we left the Weiner story alone in the interest of fair play, but this to me is more about Pelosi than Weiner.

She called for and official investigation and now we hear about possibly damning contact with a 17 year old girl, and now is when Pelosi comes up with this?

A little schizophrenic isn't it?

Unless dhe got a call fom a Clinton to back off.

Pelosi declines to call for Weiner's resignation - Yahoo! News

Asscociated Press

– Fri Jun 10, 7:07 pm ET

WASHINGTON – Amid increasing calls for Rep. Anthony Weiner to resign, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi says the decision should be up to the congressman and his New York constituents.

The former speaker said in San Francisco that she believes the decision should be made by "the individual member" and the people in his district.

Weiner, a seven-term Democrat, has admitted sending sexually explicit photos and messages over the Internet to a half dozen women over the past three years. Pelosi has asked the House Ethics Committee to investigate whether Weiner used any government resources.

Pelosi calls on DeLay to resign / Ethics rebukes batter Republican House leader - SFGate
2004-10-08 04:00:00 PST Washington -- House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco and a host of groups promoting ethics in government called Thursday on Rep. Tom DeLay of Texas, the powerful House Republican majority leader, to step down or be ousted after his third rebuke from the ethics committee in a week.

"Mr. DeLay has proven himself to be ethically unfit to lead his party," Pelosi said at a news conference one day after the ethics committee issued its latest rebukes of the Republican leader. "The burden now falls upon his fellow House Republicans.

"Republicans must answer: Do they want an ethically unfit person to be their majority leader, or do they want to remove the ethical cloud that hangs over the Capitol?" she asked, flanked by other House Democratic leaders.

Hypocritical bitch.

Hypocritical bitch.

And every single republican that is calling for his resignation is a Hypocritical bitch as well. You cannot hold other people to standards that you don't hold yourself to. I recall a certain senator that is still in office after having real sex with a prostitute.

Can this wench even dress herself?

Wake up, Nancy! Time for soup!

And I called for his resignation.

So, since your 'every single republican that is calling for his resignation is a Hypocritical bitch as well' comment proves to be a complete FAIL on your part, care to try again?

So far from what I have read and heard there are about 8 or 10 Dems calling for him to call it quits but I have yet to hear a major call for it from the Republicans, except for a couple I have seen who have already left office for scandals of their own.

Conservatives in the Media who have moral values have been pretty much across the board calling for him to step down.

Understand, Whovian, this was one of their favorite darlings.

Did I really have to say politician? :2brickwal Anyways, unless you have called for every politician to resign who has had a sex scandal, you shouldn't call for his, especially since it is a very very minor one compared to almost every single on that has happened over the last 20years.

Understand, Whovian, this was one of their favorite darlings.

I don't even know what Weiner has done. Try again.

She is just defending one of her own.

Politician Pinata Time. Yaaaaaaaaay!!!

anthony lied to america, he went from network to network for the better part of a week aggressively pushing a position he knew was prevaricated

he invented an alibi, a hacking, accusing some nonexistent entity of a criminal activity

he urged his correspondents to lie for him, expressing in detail the exigent need for them to do so as well as providing them with rather lengthy and specific how-to's

according to the nurse and blackjack dealer, at least, he engaged in these activities in his congressional office

he sent close up shots of his aroused privates to people he really can't know who they are, they could be children or political opponents or any of a myriad of potential extortionists...

didn't he?

some of the reactions of the few out-there defenders of anthony must strike most mature americans as astonishingly sophomoric, if not bizarre

baba wawa says the x rated shot of anthony is "flattering"

ms behar wonders how we all know it's not andrew breitbart's penis they're all looking at (except for the fact that anthony already admitted it's him)

Barbara Walters says Rep. Anthony Weiner photo was flattering - chicagotribune.com

alec baldwin, who floated the prospect of running for the mayorship anthony was angling for, says the congressman, like other hi profile and power players who operate in "a constant pressure cooker of self analysis and public appraisal," just "needs something to take the edge off"

there are so few "sources of a reliable high" these days, laments the lib celeb, and "appointment sex with your spouse doesn't always arrive"

chrissy matthews comments that a "cult of culturally backward Christian conservatives have a problem" with anthony's antics

Yes. If you meant ALL politicians, why did you SAY Republicans? What you're doing now is moving the goalposts.

So, because there is a politician who had a sex scandal and I never heard about it, I have no right to call for Weiners resignation. That's a little silly.

If you don't know what he's done with all the press it's getting, you are willfully ignorant... not my problem. And 'minor' appears to be the operative word now... as his communications with a minor girl are being investigated.

Police seem to think no illicit activity occurred between Weiner and the 17 year old. They exchanged "at least 5" messages.

Just leaves the 6 other women. :D

Officially ceasing to care about Weiner's weiner.

I am now convinced that Pelosi is indeed schizophrenic now she wants him to resign. Make up your mind old woman.

Oh damn that's it. She's really old and maybe she's getting senile.

Senile and stupid.

"Possible damning contact" is such a FOX misinformation phrase. I say maybe Pelosi had a talk with Weiner and decided it was time to let these issues solve themselves in the districts where the men serve. After all, many republicans for great infractions never resigned.

Oh, I think the left understands than anyone on the right doesn't like Pelosi and loves to smash her whenever they can. We get it. It's old. And really reveals the anti-woman agenda of the right wing male club.

The House Democratic leader, Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, spoke to Mr. Weiner on the phone Saturday morning and, notably, released her statement calling for his resignation after he told her of his plan to
get treatment and to take the leave.

Flip-flopping hypocritical bitch. Oh well... at least she finally got it right.
