every state in this country needs to pass legislation like this.
this is "game over" for the border jumping criminals.
it is now a felony in alabama, punishable by up to 5 years in prison,
to in anyway aid an illegal alien.

we'll see what obama has to say on this one. another lawsuit?

He'll report them to the UN just like he did with Arizona, I bet.

the "fed" is losing more and more ground in this country. how many states now have told the obama
admin to "f' off" now on his healthcare and immigration policies?

let the south rise again, figuratively speaking.

This is just a baby step and every step helps. The next step should to adequately punish the scum who hire illegals with prison time and subject assets seizure and forfeiture upon a guilty conviction as well has heavier fines. After all it takes two to tango.

i believe it does that...................

Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A) (iv)(iii)

"Any person who . . . encourages or induces an alien to . . . reside . . . knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such . . . residence is . . . in violation of law, shall be punished as provided . . . for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs . . . fined under title 18 . . . imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both."

I would love to see spread to California with some teeth to shut down these nut jobs that have turned every major City into a Sanctuary.

I also it spreads because eventually it will force Obama ans Napolitano to stop the damn lies and enforce 5the laws already on the books.

Obama is playing a game now claiming to clamp down on hiring illegals but all for show and the election and if he were to win next year he'll go right back to his amnesty BS.

We spend Billions on these people who will find their own way back if we cut them off, putting an end to the phony argument about the cost of shipping them back where they belong.

And don't start the race crap because I was all illegals from all over the World cut off and anyone for any reason helping them jailed.

Amazing that it takes States with small populations to come to their senses and show the way

Amazing news

Its time to rid our country of those invaders

i am immigrant so i agree with President Obama policy.

If you are a legal immigrant, welcome to the US. If you are an illegal immigrant, please leave and come back through legal channels if you wish to live and work in the US.

My great grandparents were legal immigrants from Germany. As far as I can tell, State elected officials have nothing against legal immigration. They are just tired of the Feds (all political parties) doing nothing about illegal immigration for so many years.

It was good to see the SC uphold Arizona employer sanction bill which targets those that hire illegal immigrants. Where are all the bashers who were so critical of Arizona and other States who are leading the way. The Feds could learn a thing or two from the State leaders.

Does Alabama have an immigration problem?

Then the states needs to start cracking down on those who hire illegals with some prison time.

"the U.S. Supreme Court recently endorsed a separate Arizona law requiring employers to use E-Verify. The court also ruled that Arizona could suspend or revoke business licenses of those companies that knowingly hire illegal immigrants."

This is the overwhelming punch that will push illegal aliens into states without the guts to deal with the issue. I am very pleased with my state and my governor.

Yes. Just as every state does. They kill our citizens. The consume our wealth by taking welfare. They take jobs from our citizens. Good riddance.

god...let's not add anymore to it. it seemed the founding fathers wanted it to be a simple, vague document
for a reason. all these partisan political interpretations of just what exactly this and that means is doing nothing
more than dividing us. i mean...i know you personally aren't necessarily saying more "amendments" are needed.
it's just the more we add to it, the more it just becomes a "god-damned piece of paper".

Why don't they just have the illegals wear armbands and live in ghettos?

no reason to keep them around. they don't have wealth and assets for the government to confiscate.
nice attempt at the old melodrama, though.

Well, since they came here to work, how about just putting them on trains and sending them to work camps.

I'm sure the Governors of Alabama and Arizona could appoint a committee to figure out exactly how many illegal workers they need, then arrange to have the surplus workers sent to special camps with showers and stuff...

another melodramaqueen. of course, with the unemployment rate what it is....i'm quite sure those labor jobs would be quickly filled
with real Americans.

try again.

edit: oh my bad...you're not ANOTHER melodrama queen, you're the same one repeating the melodrama in a different quote. nothing exceeds like excess, they say.

I am not sure why you rate yourself as a moderate. Your stance has been pretty against anything the States try to combat illegal immigration. Is your stance to support open borders?
