A Christian college has barred the national anthem from sporting events because the song's images of war undermine its pacifist traditions.
Goshen College in Indiana will no longer play 'The Star Spangled Banner.'
And the school's board of directors have instructed its president, Jim Brenneman, to find an alternative song 'that fits with sports tradition, that honors country, that resonates with our core values and that respects the views of diverse constituencies.'

They have every right to do this because of all those Americans in the anthem and afterwards who faught and died to protect that right. While they have that right it does not mean those of us who it disgusts have to hold back our view.

"Dear Mr. College President: There are only two people who have ever offered to die for you: Jesus Christ and the US soldier. A little respect is in order."
