ABC News’ Devin Dwyer (@devindwyer) reports: Embattled Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York and his wife, Huma Abedin, are expecting a child, ABC News has learned.

News of the pregnancy, which was first reported by the New York Times, comes as the couple has vowed to stay together despite Weiner’s admission of risqué online chats and photo swaps with at least six other women.

Weiner and Abedin were married in a New York ceremony officiated by former President Bill Clinton 11 months ago.

She is a top aide to Hillary. I guess if you need a mentor to help you through those times when your husband can't keep it in his pants, she's as good as any.
 
On the upside, she's not some poor dumb 18 year old with no resources or options. She married a real jerk though. Gotta wish her the best however it works out.

I don't think it's fair to question her fidelity just because she has piss poor judgement in her choice of a mate. Other than the Weiner she appears to be relatively intelligent,as Liberals go.

I think it's fair to assume the possibility exists that he was looking for sex with other women, because he wasn't getting any ***** at home.
 
If she were one of my sisters, the dueche would have to squat to pee for the rest of his life.

I had been defending him, based on what he told me, but no more. Weiner must resign from Congress immediately.

This has not been my position previously during the scandal, but as I have recovered from the shock of seeing an old friend’s life unravel and have had time to get my mind around the extensive and sociopathic lying in which he engaged, there seems to be no other choice than for him to step aside and stop hurting his family, friends, and the Democratic Party. As more information trickles out about his online behavior with women, it has also become clear that he does not have the character to be in a position of leadership because of his misogynist view of women and predatory behavior.

Weiner made a conscious choice to be a dick ;) For the sake of the kid, I hope Mrs. Weiner did sleep with someone else, so that the kid will have a real dad who isn't such a punchline scumbag.
 
Yeah................the poor kid needs to ditch that ridiculous name -- 'WEINER'.
 
Let's hope they don't name the kid Oscar.

However...if the news headlines are accurate, it seems that more and more Democrats are doing waht his wife SHOULD have done...they are shunning the Weiner.
