Human Centipede 2 banned by the BBFC | TotalFilm.com

The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) has been rejected by the British Board of Film Classification because it is “sexually violent and potentially obscene”.

The report can be read here (warning: spolier alert, not to mention its pretty grim) BBFC REJECTS THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE II (FULL SEQUENCE) « British Board of Film Classification

Personally im very reluctant to support censorship in any circumstances but I can see where these people are coming from if there is a risk of peope copying what they see etc. but if there is an appropriate plave to draw then line on free speech then where should it be drawn? (if it should exist attal)

Movies display f'd up things all the time. I don't see why adding more ridiculousness would necessitate a ban. Most governments allow a lot of violence in movies without too much concern for copycats, why so here?

Glad I live in America where this **** won't happen. Any censorship based on "potentially obscene" material is wrong. No matter how ****ed up it is.

They banned Manhunt 2 and Bully as well I believe. I wouldn't censor it, but it sounds pretty horrible. I don't know, I never watched the first one; rather the Tosh.0 spoiler was all that was needed for me to know that I didn't want to watch this POS movie (the first one). And the South Park episode of i-centipad was enough for me. But the UK is a sovereign country and can do as it likes so long as its People allow it.

A good banning really riles up my lust for a thing. I didn't even care for rock and roll til after summer lock-in

umm, what is human centipede?

Didnt one of the beat generation get put on trial for obsenity?

look up Daniel Tosh's spoiler about it.

I was a little drunk when I heard about the film and vomited alot....

alot.

How the hell can something be "potentially obscene".

I mean hell, any human being could be potentially obscene... Some of us are only a belt buckle away from sharing the crown jewels...

Quick! Hide Lindsay Lohan! She's potentially obscene! And Andy Dick, hes imminently obscene!

You cannot fight my logic:
Think of the most obscene thing ever that should not be shown on tv.....
shouldnt it not be shown on tv?

Good riddance! I'm all for no censorship, but this, even the first one, is a truly ****ed up movie! I don't support full banning, but I'd at least ban it for theaters, and maybe major retailers, but not a complete ban.

If the theaters don't want to show it, they can do it, if the retailers don't want to sell they can do it. Don't make the government do it for them.

People may not know what they're getting into. And end up vomiting all over england. The medical impact could be huge.

This is the plot I got from Wikipedia

The film centres around an antagonist called Martin (Laurence Harvey), who becomes sexually obsessed with a DVD recording of the film within the film, The Human Centipede (First Sequence). In the DVD, a surgeon kidnaps three people and surgically connects them mouth-to-anus. Martin masturbates as he watches the film, with sandpaper wrapped around his penis. He subsequently creates his own twelve-person "human centipede" and gains sexual gratification from the pain, humiliation and suffering of his victims. He is shown to become aroused whenever a member of his centipede defecates, and their faeces are forced into the mouth of the victim behind them. He rapes the woman at the rear of the centipede, with barbed wire wrapped around his penis.[1]

Ah... Jesus Mary and Joseph and all things holy...

I don't normally resort to violence, but if I ever met the producer, director, or script writer for this movie.... well, I'd probably kick their arse.

look up Daniel Tosh's spoiler about it.

Ok, I tried. Maybe I got the wrong link, but I'm not listening to Tosh speak for 24 minutes.

I did find this trailer and there are no words for how disgusting that is. I feel psychologically damaged from watching it.

That is even worse than watching the trailer.

I don't have to watch the trailer to know to beat the guy up... he may me puke by idea transmission.

so ****ed up, so so ****ed up

So according to the act they are censoring it under (the 1959 obscence publications act) "an article shall be deemed to be obscene if its effect or (where the article comprises two or more distinct items) the effect of any one of its items is, if taken as a whole, such as to tend to deprave and corrupt persons who are likely, having regard to all relevant circumstances, to read, see or hear the matter contained or embodied in it."

Which seems a little farfetched, the film is sick but could watching it really make you a worse person?
