Usually it is because they have the crap jobs that are the first jobs to go in a cut back. As they downsized two years ago they cut him to half time. No benefits. They cut his hours again. He doesn't want anyone to know but he is now receiving food stamps. He no longer has health insurance. If they cut his food stamps he'll have to eat fewer meals. The state recently agree to set aside half a billion dollars to attract new business by offering corporate welfare.
Does he have a customer service background? I'd be happy to aim him at the company I work for. I work at home, online, 12-8 with full benefits, hourly pay, time off, etc. Tis totally Awesome, and Full of Win. They are hiring.

The social programs in place today enable healthy and capable people to suck off the big gov (taxpayer) tit and it has drained the resources from those that NEED it. Instead of people being pissed because the country is broke and clamoring for others to pay even more to take care of the crippled and dependent pets, maybe its time for tose that NEED to start calling out the current generation that had more kids than they could afford, didnt bother to go to high school, claim they cant pay for their own basiuc needs (but have no problem paying for cigarettes, cell phones, video games, drugs, etc). Maybe people should finally BE a little up in arms about food stamp programs that can be so easily abused...by people recieving government assistance and using that money to buy junk food with no nutritional value. Shakespeare was wrong...we shouldnt kill all the lawyers. But we might want to start examining the Jerry Springer/ Maury/Tyra crowds.

This is a positive step to take. I approve.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

If more people did 'what we can' (and repect to you for doing it) then we could do more for those that truly cant. I see them both. I cant tell you how angry it makes me having to place perfectly healthy early 20-somethings in social care that understand the system, then having to tell the family that has been doing their best to take care of adopted mentally handicapped children, I'm sorry...there are just no openings anywhere. Yes...no opnenings...because a 20 year old malingering little bastard just took the last bed and will be fed, clothed and sheltered for the next 2 weeks at a cost of about $18,000 (that the taxpayers will cover).

You mean it doesn't take a village?

It's easy when you don't have to pay any taxes toward the expense, isn't it?

So you just reversed yourself on this:

who said anything about abortions? would it hurt poor people to wear a ****ing condom or take the pill? they hand out condoms for free and you can get the pill at the "free clinic". there is no excuse for these people to keep pumping out kids like litters of kittens and then expecting the productive population to support them.

    Which is it?

But the fact is, millions use Planned Parenthood for birth control and eliminating that organization will have consequences.

The study found that two-thirds of births resulting from unintended pregnancies—more than one million births—are publicly funded, and the proportion tops 80% in a couple of states. The cost of those births, and the potential gross saving from helping women to avert them, is estimated at $11.1 billion.
