    Well, they are.

I would say environment protection is a must as we live here and having bad Oxygen, and dirty water to drink is not a good thing. Also didn't you know that Fire works can cause fires and injury to people if used incorrectly. So it might also cause a bit of damage to the environment around these shows as well don't you think.

Yes, let's show a German factory blowing, and then restrict American's...How honest.

Ever been to Disneyland at about 10:15 at night?? For about 9 months out of the year.. They have a firework display that is rather large every single night.. I lived in Westminister for a number years.. I used to climb up onto my friends roof and we would sit and watch it..

People light fireworks off for other things besides the 4th of July.. Just saying..

In either case.. I just go to the indian reservations now..

They do fireworks at 6 Flags and Sea World here.

    What's the environmental impact? None.

I'd imagine there are a lot of toxic substances in some fireworks in order to give off the colors that they do.

If it's a big show then local air, water, and land quality will be affected as the debris settles.

This doesn't seem all the unreasonable.

You imagine, you have no clue. Fireworks displays have been going on for DECADES, don't you think we'd of noticed any real impact by now?

Oh, wait, better to force an environmental impact statement, "just in case" right?

They've been going on for a few centuries over in China.

Exactly. Common sense has been given a leave of absence in this country.
