DP Book Club: Lamb discussion thread

I positively loved it! Somehow both reverent and irreverent all at once. I will say Joshua never once did anything I felt was out of character. Definitely more playful than mocking. How could anyone not like Biff?

I really enjoyed the way that Joshua is portrayed as being somewhat confused over the whys and ways of things and that he gets irritated with his lack of communication with his father. It really captured the whole divine human thing. I especially loved that most of the apostles were retarded as it's a good explanation for why the modern day church is such a riot. Though I'm not religious, I would be surprised if someone like say Felicity didn't also love this book.

I am late wandering down to the book club, and also missed the official DP reading of this, I read it a while back, nothing really constructive or discussion worthy to add other than great book!

I should re-read it, I think I loaned it out though.. it is always the good books that vanish, when will i learn to loan out the crappy ones instead!

I've had to get three copies of that book. Now I have the one that looks like the bible with the gold edged pages and ribbon page marker. That one is never getting loaned out.

I gotta agree that it's only the very best books that your friends steal. I went over to a friends house one time and I was looking at his bookshelf and I noticed about 1/3 of his books were ones he snagged off of me when we were roommates. He gave me this sheepish grin and said "Whoops".

I took back all of the ones I hadn't bought new copies of already (I had already bought new copies of most of them though so the bastard got about 20 or 30 free books off of me)
