    I haven't read THG, but I read "The Long Walk" many many years ago...and a couple of times since. Each time I read it, I'm struck by the thought that today's youth could NEVER survive in a similar situation.

    IMO, easily the best from Stephen King.

    I don't read fiction books because I think that reality is more interesting. But one of my employees was in the movie "The Hunger Games". This was his second movie, in his first movie he had a brief speaking part, but in the Hunger Games all he was was a blur as the camera panned across a crowd. He was paid for being in both movies, just a tad bit more than what I pay him.

    In otherwords, I don't have anything worthwhile to contribute this thread, but at least I am honest about it!
