Why did prop 19 fail in a blue state?

I thought only conservative republicans were out to ruin our good times. What happened liberals? Aren't all democrats baby boomer hippies and xbox playing daily show young adults? Why did prop 19 fail? I think I know why. It's because marijuana smoking emits CO2.

    It's because societies change slowly even in progressive states, and this is the first time marijuana legalization has been treated as a mainstream topic.

    That is incorrect. Nevada proposed a similar law about seven or eight years ago. It died as well.
