Just thought I'd see how everyone else feels about this.
Should someone who uses almost exclusively Media Matters for America as their primary source for information, be taken seriously?
It is my 'opinion' that they should not. No more so than anyone else who uses a single source as their primary source of information.
Have at it.
I haven't read the rest of this thread, but I gotta say that people should never use only one source of news and information.
I've been taking a break from most political news, and news in general, lately. However, the one show I really like is "Morning Joe" on MSNBC. I like that MSNBC is considered a liberal network but they've got a conservative on there who used to be a Republican Congressman, so he's got a lot of practical experience. I don't agree with everything that he says, but I like how he expresses himself. There are other reasons why I like the show, though, like how laid back it is.
I also get news through a local radio talk show. They aren't liberal or conservative, though - they're just a show that lets anybody call in and talk about anything. They don't even have a phone screener. So because of the randomness of that, I get exposed to a lot of topics that I ordinarily wouldn't, and so get news that way as well.
For other news, I tend to find out on this site or through word-of-mouth, and from other sources, sometimes conservative, sometimes liberal. If it's that important to me, I'll find out about it someway.
