This is the most unbelievably partisan interview of a Senator I've seen in quite a while. Georgie boy interviews John McCain about the health care vote in the senate, and ignores what McCain was saying... over and over again.
The interview starts by Stephanopoulos saying:
McCain answers by first saying the American people don't want it, then spends the next 24 seconds talking about the pay-offs Harry Reid used to buy the votes and how the American people don't like this kind of Washington dealing.
Stephanopoulos completely ignored what McCain said and responded with:
McCain answered back by saying "It's one of the great Bernie Madoff gimmicks that I've ever seen, that anybody's ever seen." He then points out that if it were signed by the president in January, the taxes and cuts to Medicare would start, but the health care plan wouldn't kick in until 4 years later. He then pointed out Reid's excuse for the pay-offs, and again said that the American people would reject this shady dealing by Reid.
Believe it or not, Stephanopoulos once again completely ignored what McCain said about the shady dealing and responded with the following:
McCain said he thought Ted would have like the outcome, but not the straight party line vote. He finished his response by saying that neither himself or Ted Kennedy ever went along with the kind of pay-offs offered to states to get democratic senators to vote yes to something they opposed.
Well... your not going to believe this, but Stephanopoulos again completely ignored not only what McCain said about the pay-offs, but ignored the entire state pay-offs for votes issue like it didn't even exist and decided instead to change subjects.
If this isn't a case of blind liberal journalism, I don't know what is.

So, the democrats have the votes senator McCain, why keep on fighting. Why drag this out till Christmas?

But the bottom line of this bill according to the congressional budget office senator, is that it covers more than 30 million people, and will reduce the deficit by more than 100 million dollars in the first 10 years, even more in the second.

Yet up in the gallery while all that was happening (when Reid made his excuse for the pay-offs) was Vicky Kennedy, the widow of of your good friend... bla bla bla (he then played an old clip of McCain)... (out of the clip) Vicky Kennedy is saying this exactly the kind of compromise that Ted would want... bla bla bla
